You guys are missing the point. They are not saying that those are labels that are invalid enjoying exist, they’re saying that gender is a social construct and isn’t an actual physical thing you can measure or determined. They’re talking about gender not being a real thing, not specifically those labels.
@Gaish
@Gaish 2 жыл бұрын
yeah but fact is we live in a society that differentiates between masculine and feminine and simply because it's a "construct" doesn't make it any less real. the fact that these constructs exist is important for butches, femmes, trans people etc. etc. "boyish" is a whole ass label in certain communities.

(for reference, im afab) ive been questioning for awhile if im genderfluid, but anytime i see other experiences i doubt myself. i dont feel my gender changing from day to day, but moreso how i want to look and be percieved by others. im very usually comfortable with being percieved as a girl, but it changes. it usually fluxuates between very fem, somewhere in between, and androgynous. i only occasionally feel masculine. i dont really have specific pronouns i want to be called depending on whether i feel masc, fem, androgynous, etc, but instead go by any pronouns. would i still be genderfluid or maybe some other identity? itd be helpful if someone answered 😭

Are you not an adult? Why are trans people always referring to themselves as boys and girls instead of men and women? Peter Pan syndrome?

Ig it doesn’t exist, but I kind of like those identities. Like being trans technically doesn’t exist if gender and sex are different, but it still exists socially. Personally, one of my friends calls me girl husband and I call him male wife because it just works
