How is it possible that this video is 11yrs old but is still so accurate? I'm here at Kearl and the food at Wapatraz is like something the Alpo dog food company rejected. Funny and accurate

Wow ,just found this, I was their in 2008-2009 doing a winter drilling program. Figured out early enough on my rotations out when you got back to Kearl camp I would linger around to be near last in line to get a room there, only to be told it's full, then I would be assigned a room at the old Huskey Sunrise camp, rooms bigger, place 3/4's empty your own bathroom, access to lots of washers and driers, food was awesome, no line ups, you could pack a real good lunch. You know the place was good when all the safety nazie's and consultants were staying there.

Kearl Lake rather than build it in Edmonton Alberta with Canadian workers and materials enriching Canada. It was built in Korea. Shipped to Vancouver Washington USA. Transferred to barges towed by tugs up the Columbia river. Unloaded .The Modules would not fit on Washington state Highways. So they were dismantles, trucked over the mountains to Edmonton. Where they were reassembled and many costly mistakes were found $$$$.Rectified $$$ .Then trucked to site. So $$$$$$$$$$$ was spent extra to fuck over Canada and Canadian workers and our politicians were in on it .

Hahaha I hadn't watched this since before I started at Kearl, and sometimes you forget how pointless the loop around the perimeter is! The food isn't as bad as people say, but they definitely did not try to maximize your downtime. Hope you have an iPhone and like 50 books, cause you're gonna be doing a loootttttta sitting. Also, they recently had to evacuate the buses because the air quality was poisoning everyone on board. True story.

You can add to this video now! So the installed gang showers in the 3 camps now. So on your last day they're making you check out before you go to work. Have to either put your bags in storage the night before or that morning. When you get back to camp before your flight you have no room to go to. You have to shower at the gang showers if you want a shower. And you can only get into the showers if you have already checked in for your flight. And everyone at kearl lake is just letting them do th

I AM in camp man, I have been since 2008. All I am saying is, most of the people in the world are suffering, they dont have food or shelter. They pay us hundreds of dollars a day, give us steak and other good food, and nice rooms. i dunno, i am just counting my blessings, imagine living in a 3rd world country, we would gladly work at camp for room and board.

MLV camp and Syncrude. MLV is by far the worst camp in Fort Mac. Moldy, shitty food, bed bugs, gang showers, gang bathrooms, built in the 1950s, horrible piss smell everywhere, gotta walk outside to eat in -40 weather, have to smell Syncrude plant all night, need to listen to Syncrude plant all night. Wapasu is a nice clean camp, Iv been to camps for oil rig work and I would love to throw sone of you guys in there and hear your complaints.
