+Deepanshu Kumar In my anecdotal experience, people don't listen to music to feel pain, passion or sorrow. They listen to it to forget about that. That's what leads them to happy/catchy songs, things that fill their mind and help them forget the pain. People like you and I, may I be so presumptuous, are those that listen to music for the passion. We embrace our sadness, hatred and guilt, and channel it through this music. At least for me, this is the music that makes helps me because, through the artist's pain, I realize that I'm not the only one, and that helps me turn my pain into something positive. That's at least how I feel.

"Whatever happens, keep filming" Anybody portray it that, during the recording and filming of this video, it got too much for Keaton and he ran off camera to sit down and relax for a bit? Hence the panning around and to the skies, the guy stood next to him seemingly putting an end to the recording and trying to comfort him... Or was it just me? The shaking of Keaton's head just before he ran off and the constant wiping of his eyes, as well as looking teary, just amplify it for me. Beautiful song with delicate play and beautiful lyrics; you're bringing peace to us all Keaton :)

I feel like they had something planned just in case he couldn't finish it, like they knew how much this song meant to him. Those who find and keep it are few and quiet. Those who find it and lose it are the people who have been written about for centuries and longer. It is no small thing. It is proof that Love is, and that it can be made. It is also proof that the only item that you will be able to take with you when you expire is the Love you made here.

+Absentee Childhood I don't know, man. Jeff Buckley was so different. Jeff might be too wild and raw for someone who goes from Keaton because after listening to so many Keaton songs and being a huge fan, it's almost like I want to stay where I am and not go anywhere, just loathing the feeling of falling in love, having worn out my heart to a girl. But Jeff will make you take that guitar and sing her back into your arms. You know what I mean? But yeah, I do understand the similarity. Fresh and honest.

Your voice, your music, your eyes, your soul. All so beautifully invisible whilst it shouts silently in my heart; my mind mesmerized for too long to care how long its been lost in your…you. Instruments dancing through a falsetto of exquisite truth..not fearing the pain. Then the emptiness of love, the invisible part only some can see. Finally leaving with us, with the transparent cloud of the rebirth you’ve undoubtably swirled in and out of.around. Over. Under… slowly, breathlessly escaping to your safety…from your own curse of loving larger than most have the privilege to. gone from our field vision…for now…perhaps. Never really ever leaving our conscious completely. Creating a constant warmth that fills the wholes of our souls, the lost beats of our hearts, and shines soft lights and beautiful beauty on the ugliness that love sometimes needs to be. Teaching that only the journey to self truth will lead you through the painful lights of the unknown and the nothing. Does love arrive without departing? Journey is the only way to know. Thank you for allowing your beautifulness to make me feel. You are a gift

I love Keaton's music, but all of it is s really depressing, angry, and sad. I'm sure he has more to offer than the one emotion of his ex breaking his heart. But still, when I am angry, depressed, and sad, his music hits home in such a sincerely understanding way. I think this song is so perfect in its own way.
@Blueswailer10 жыл бұрын
I completely get what you mean. But bear in mind, we're listening to songs composed by a massively shy person as well. I can relate to Keaton's songs mostly because I have social anxiety and massive stage fright(I sing and play some instruments as well). I'm not trying to downplay your comment, I also think Keaton Henson has a lot more to offer than the things he's made songs of, so far. But creative people tend to kind of vomit out the things that are first on the list. I know I would've gone crazy ages ago if I didn't sing and write poems. Also, yes, this song is perfect for the mood it's supposed to be for.

This song hits different if you've ever been in love with someone who has an avoidant attachment style. That feeling of watching them sabotage a beautiful thing, breaking your heart and there's nothing you can do or say to stop them is devastating. Can't help but see lots of comments about other sad songs saying that their the saddest song ever. Typically I don't think songs can ever hold a position like that forever as people change so do their emotions. However I would be surprised if some other artist came along and could capture the utter destruction and desolation of love as much as this song.

I can't understand the negative comments but everyone has their opinions. As for me I love his music. The lyrics are sublime and his voice is so unique in my humble opinion

No song has ever made me feel this way, I cried with him. P.s in a relationship now and just got to understand now how he's feeling, fuck love but still love if you can.

krisk kmp It's a very difficult song to listen to and watch because of how much it still affects him even to the point of not being able to finish singing the song for a video.

I just found out about this brilliant artist today. I really had no idea what I was missing. I've had this and "You" on repeat all day. He has such a soothing voice. I'm so happy I discovered him.
