how is everything this man makes solid fucking gold?

I believe since everyrhing he makes is mostly emotion based and that is where it hits you. Most modern based music even if made with emotion doesnt really hit you the same way due to either the music or the cideo or the word choice and even how its said. however everything he makes is perfectly crafted to do that. Maybe. Let me know if you think different

"shakes you, breaks you a bit, and you just take it in silence" You've described perfectly my feeling about her dance. And Keaton's songs as well.

i love how they didn't edit out the sound of her footsteps and her breathing at the end although I know it was intentional. it definitely was a beautiful touch to the song and the music video. I am deeply in love with the emotion and dancing and the lyrics and pretty much everything in the mv. I love how simple it is, yet the song and message made me very emotional. very very very beautiful.

Full Lyrics: Make mine a pain in the neck Here's to you, you old wreck And mine is a thorn in the side Drink up, so we can both finally die And I'll have a bright yellow boat With nothing to row With nothing to row So make mine an ore out of luck Here's to you, you miserable fuck And why did she finally leave? Cause all you think of is me Cause all you think of is me To your health To your health Make mine a pain in the neck Here's to you, you old wreck

I can hear her footsteps in the silence. Beautiful and emotional.
@josefinar.vilchesh.72827 жыл бұрын
Here's my interpretation of this song: I once read one interpretation that explained this song as referred to his alcoholism, as in "make mine a pain in the neck"", "drink up so we can both finally die" or "why did she finally leave? 'cause all you think of is me." as if he was talking to the alcohol and it was replying... but in my opinion, it goes more to his depression. I'm not even aware if he suffers from depression or not, but this to me is a song that acts as a chat with all his anxieties, fears and depressive thoughts. "make mine a pain in the neck", "drink up so we can BOTH finally die" and "why did she finally leave? 'cause all you think of is me", as to love someone else you must first love yourself, and depression in a couple makes one close himself up in the fear of not being enough or losing the other loved one, making the fear come true. Any other theories? :)

I totally agree..what I feared would happen happened..out of my own insecurities..Keaton makes the song in such an impersonal and beautiful way , that we can all understand a little

There are so few artists who I can say captivate, shatter, alleviate and move me the way Henson does. I feel like I don't breathe or even realize time has passed when I watch his videos or simply listen to his music. His music helped me realize that sadness is beautiful in its own unique way.
