The controversy in Chilean football is not just about the actions of Arturo Vidal and Gonzalo Jara. Long before the two of them acted, Chilean football was humiliated by its own goalkeeper named 'Roberto Rojas'.
Rojas appeared long before Claudio Bravo became Chile's best goalkeeper, the Latin American country had Roberto Rojas, who was Chile's best goalkeeper in the 80s.
His prowess in goalkeeping was the reason a number of young people in Chile took up a career as footballers in the 80s. By the Chilean public, he received the nickname El Condor. A nickname which is certainly no joke if you look back at the Chilean national symbol.
But unfortunately, the career of this goalkeeper who was born on August 8 1957 was tarnished because of his own actions. The player nicknamed El-Condor received a lifetime ban from the World Football Federation (FIFA).
