I agree. Kebu uses old-style analogue synths but also brings some of today's technology and some of today's way of understanding electronic music to the mix. But the intention - what he is trying to achieve - is still what JMJ and the others were striving for in the 1980's. It is in that sense he's taken that type ofusic to a higher level - rather than abandoning it, or recreating it, he is continuing its development. I think it is wonderful.

Pulsar is such a wonderful blend of JMJ’s first 3 albums. The Oxygene Small Stone phased Eminent chords, the clear Magnetic Fields II chorus and chord progression, the starting homage to Oxygene 5. Even a slight nod to Equinoxe 6/7 in the first verse baseline.

The way music is ment to be played, master like old school geniuses, pioneers, Jean Michelle Jarre, Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder...Today there is too many so called Dj-s who are "masters" in pressing play and pause on lap top raising, claping hands, taking drugs...
