Yes its slower progression so streamers who are actually on no pixel for those 6-8hr got things to build on to. I think the issue is expensive fines and of course few other things here and there but if they reduce the fines and times, i think crims would be happy and people wont need to grind as much. I wish they let Kebun build his rental property stuff from the start, it would have been cool RP from the begining, he had investors, people who wanted to rent and everything going on, once they denied it things just kept getting worse

Craziest thing is that there isn't a high reward for being a criminal. PD complaints when they lose a 5k Turbo so the response is a fine that covers that more extensively meanwhile criminals complain about a potential 400k fine and days in prison but when they complain they're crying. Tbh this might be a hot take but I think 4.0 cops are better for the reason that I think majority aren't sweaty try hards but the loud minority in charge are what makes them so frustrating to rp with. I've never understood the consequences for crimes on the server, yeah you shouldn't encourage them but who really benefits by pushing harsh consequences.

The admins need to be employees. I’m not saying everyone currently doing anything, I’m talking about if they’re going to perform the roles of authoritative performers in the role play. I have some experience myself doing a kind of world like this(though it was a “shared” instance of a pen and paper roleplay setting). But a downfall for me in that group was the “staff”. I was one and helped with onboarding, sheet validation, gm screening, running games, and towards the end the overall plot. It got to the point where one singular person was holding up the entire meta world plot. He just wouldn’t show up for months. If it was his job, we could have just fired him. His friends made it impossible to remove him even after me and others spent months talking about it and bringing it up. Being invested in outcomes that are not “we do what’s best for our customers” here is bad. I’m not saying everything needs to go one way or another in terms of who’s up and down, but there needs to be people who are not driven by “I want my friends to win” at the wheel of things like rule violations. You can’t be punishing people for literally doing what everyone in the server is there to do. K doesn’t give context here but I do wonder what exactly is being blocked and why.

Honestly if it got to a point of no return, i can see that happening, but it'd have to be serious shit - not just "frustration" - As Zerkaa for example, could come back for something like that, as i feel he wanted something more than the same grindy shit as he as a person has more career options, but an investment / plan like that is deffo possible in the future. First change that needs to happen is Max needs to have his powers over police removed. Then hopefully Bones will let the sheriff's department actually rp situations which the LSPD seems to dap people for. From there koil needs to work with crane on realistic fine and times. Then the server will slowly start to fix itself and everyone should start having fun again.

The problem is the lawsuit is keeping Koil back from doing everything he wanted to do and plus he concede his power to 3 different people and plus Koil has not been playing a cop and is not even interested in getting involved again in the near future. The only move is to ban CG if they continue to break rules plus OOC comments as well. By that point, the server will start to heal by itself and it will allow cops to focus on other things for server balance. Right now, the balance is not there and it is tilted toward CG and leaving other crims to roam freely while cops focusing on CG for weeks now. That is why shift 2 suffers because of CG. That is my observation on the state of the server.

He is not wrong wit the time thing, problem is if you set your max time to 1-2 days how do you balance it out with other crimes, how long would jailtime be for shooting a cop, having an illegal weapon, Vault Robbery etc You have to balance that stuff out, but when there is only 10 mins jailtime for shooting a cop and bringing up the charge in the Cell takes 15 mins then there is no point in it and there is the danger that shooting cops all day long becomes the new laundromat which is also at this point soooo boring to watch. So balanvcing Jailtime so it makes some kind of sense could be pretty hard. 3-5 Days would be ok i think IF they have something in place where people in Jail can RP, get someone back to Dogtown in Charge that can provide RP, give them something to do like it was with the Livers, let them cook burgers at Snr Buns or Pick up Trash so they can interact with the city. They realy should redo the whole System and figure that stuff out because all that crying and toxic chathopping is ruining it for everybody

You completely missed his point if that's what you got from it. None of them care about getting caught or consequences. Its the fact that there is no balance of consequences when it comes to cops. Cops rarely get fired let alone even suspended. Shoot an unarmed crim to get a W and catch them and only get 1-2 DAP points. No suspension or getting fired. Or we could just go with all the meta'ing that cops do. Going straight to locations where crims are hiding, raiding a house and going straight to the hidden ladder which can only be known OOC. Or how about cops getting revived on scene after getting downed and giving information about crims/car when they haven't actually gotten any actual medical attention. But then you can also go with how the judges constantly rule against CG but when it comes to other people they refuse to even charge them. Prime example of K getting gunned down with a PD gun on him. Other people have been caught with PD guns on them but not a single one of them was charged. Its weird how Norman Adams can say "Letter of the law" I have to find him guilty, but then days/week later when CG plants a gun on someone he says, "Oh its probably planted" with no investigation and doesn't charge the person. So K gets charged with no investigation/found guilty but other people don't get charged/no investigation. If you don't understand that CG face more consequences than 90% of the server that they shouldn't then you should go to Reddit.

To those arguing that pd get suspended for weeks/months please understand that this server has set roles. The devs have created specific mechanics for civs, cops, and crims alike. The devs put these mechanics in place so that the roles can be filled and create a true “role playing” environment. Although cops getting suspended for weeks is horrible , the technical reasons behind their suspensions is for doing their job “improperly”, although there are different interpretations of what proper police work is throughout the entire pd causing inconsistencies that the cops have had to deal with earlier in 4.0. However in this case for crims, they are punished for completing their jobs and fulfilling their roles as crims that devs specifically put in place for them. That is why people like Kebun argue the fact that they aren’t real criminals. They are fulfilling a role that is meant to be in the server and are respectively punished irl through debtors prison, long sentences, and lack of opportunities in the server. So it kind of creates a disconnect in the argument that pd get suspended for long amounts of time because they essentially get suspended for being “bad” officers while crims get put into prison for being “good” crims. I do believe that they kind of go hand in hand because the only reason why crims complain about questionable police work such as high speed ramming or beating down people with batons is because of the heavy fines and times they will have to look at, not including the time spent in the holding cells. I think both sides could benefit from having less serious consequences for their actions to stimulate more rp for the cops, crims, and civs as well.

"No one needs to be punished" If no character (not roleplayer, character) is punished then where is the risk? Where's the thrill for the player or viewers? There needs to be recourse for the things the characters do though. I agree some are too harsh but at the same time a lot of it is self inflicted, like holing yourself up in a hallway with one escape route after trying to kill and/or injuring a dozen or so other characters because you had no escape plan despite knowing the cops would come full force because of the crime. Why not pick them off few by few and then end it by putting yourself in a lose-lose scenario instead of just "guns blazing oh no how could this happen to me?" shit?

Obviously there needs to be punishment otherwise you're gang would literally occupy the cops whenever you're around. The PD needs the downtime of you being in jail receiving your punishment in order to RP with EVERY one else in the city.
