In this verse where "money" is mentioned, it is saying anything got to do with money, is not to be made the priority of life, which means, gambling, investing, saving, accumulating, cheating, scamming, cbt, etc, can lead to idols in one's heart. 1 Tim 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil." They are the same sin if you can close down these gaming shops, but don't work for what's worth to get your salary. No, this is in regard to licenses got unjustifiably pulled or not allowed renewal. Normally, when state/city government decide that they wont allow certain types of business anymore, they just dont issue new license, existing one are always allow to renew since it wouldn't be fair to ask those shops to change their business or move at a whim. Over time, there will be shop that move by themselves of closed, and then eventually within the city there will be no such business anymore. That is why Kedah's way of doing it is being challenged. If the license were not given in the first place, that is another matter.

I just wonder what if the head of Islamic Religion the Sultan of Kedah decided that he do not want any gambling outlet in the state of Kedah. Can the state constitution be amended if the majority of state legislative decide to ban gambling in Kedah? What if the majority of the population in the referendum voted to ban gambling? What if this has snowball effect that spread across Kelantan and Terengganu in their referendum to reject gambling outlet in their respective state?
