Headlands are done first with the drill, most farmers do 2-3. Harrows are not weeders they are usually used in the spring or fall to spread the straw out over the field, helps with no till plus the soil doesnt dry out so fast. Keep up the great vids!

For a drill upgrade, I would recommend the seed hawk 65ft tool bar with 660 tank. A nice tractor upgrade for the versatile would be the JD 9020 or the JD 9030 or something along that age

I’ve always commented to myself about your turning the second pass around the field. Glad you got the loop figured out. An articulated tractor should easily do it the second pass around every time. That’s the only way I do the second pass of headlands in anything in real life.

Typically we do headlands first, and that special turn maneuver you do we call an “e-Turn” because of the loop pattern that you do. Works a lot better than backing up or sharp turns in tight situations

I would recommend the extended cruise control mod. There’s 3 different cruise control memories. I use the second for my working speed, usually a mile or two faster than the working speed…that way when you take the drill out of the ground you aren’t shooting up to road speed. I keep the third cruise memory at max road speed and the first memory I don’t use

I love this series and if you ever plan on upgrading air seeders in this series it would be good to look at the bourgault air seeders as they are made in Saskatchewan

Just a thought for you, theirs a drive over belt auger on third party mod site. That might help out with getting seed and fertilizer into your seeder hopper.

There's a setting in the course generation menu (right at the bottom) where you can reduce the size of the perimeter of the field and so give the tractor more room when going around the outer headland. The perimeter can also be increased should you ever need to overlap the boundary.

On our farm we just do 2 headlands then we do up and down rows when drilling but when plowing we do the up and down rows first then the headlands

A hoe is for medium-size weeds and small weeds, a weeder can only be used on small weeds. Hoes and weeders can only be used on the first growth stage of your crop. Large weeds must be removed with herbicide.

Use the a+ heading setting for a more precise gps line instead of setting up an ab line

I've used that in the past I just default to the A+B line because I hate things popping up on the screen and not all maps have their long edges lined up on a natural heading but I may need to give it another shot.
