Hi there. In the 70's I was working as a morning waitress at a resort in the mountains of Asheville NC. Rod Stewart and Faces was in town performing. Staying at the hotel for vacation after. One morning I had a guy with a thick accent ordering " shirred" eggs. He tried to explain what they were. We ended up in the kitchen and he showed the chef just how to cook his eggs. It was Keith Richards. He was there just hanging out with his friends. One of my young friends ended up leaving with Rod's crew. He became a Roadie😂

Wonderful !! ..the guitar from the Faces ended up with the Stones as well you know.. Ronnie Wood.. probably why they were all hanging out together !! 'Shirred eggs' is a brand new one on me !!.. I had to Google it !! lol 😁

I adore Keith Richards ❤️ 💙, he's amazing musician and songwriter and performer and entertainer. He has vocals that are beyond words. I love the pics 📸 of him when he was younger. He was very sexy. But now he's a different type of sexy it's a more mature type. He's laid-back cool 😎 with a edge of bad ass. He's led a full life. I'm just happy he's still around to tell his story. He's always truthful and transparent 💯. Keith is real and authentic. Ty,Keith for all of your phenomenal music 🎶 🎵 and lyrics. You are rock and roll.

I have a feeling that Keef cannot be killed by conventional weapons !! lol I was very lucky to have seen him playing on the Charring Cross Road with his band 'The X-Pensive Winos' back in the mid 1990's. He was literally only a foot or two away from me.. so when he finished the gig I reached out my hand and he shook it !! It was arguably one of the best moments of my life !! I totally agree with what you say about his truthfulness ..he has indeed survived an intense rock and roll lifestyle which is awesome on a biological level ! lol I suspect that you have seen the movie Stoned (2005) about Brian Jones which is also well worth a viewing ! Keith actually pinched Brian's girlfriend off him ..Anita Pallenberg who sadly is now no longer with us. There is an interesting documentary about her called 'Catching Fire.. The Story of Anita Pallenberg' (2024) Blessings to you and thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave a kind comment !!

I haven't seen a picture of Keith Richards looking young (especially one in color) in a long time. I had forgotten the Rolling Stones were once young. In any event his soul will live on forever as the inspiration for Captain Jack Sparrow.

Jimmy’s having a sleep therapy session that’s funny 🤣 The Stones an iconic Rock Group for sure. I think I heard that he would string his guitar to an open G I’m not familiar with that tuning though he definitely has some very recognizable iconic guitar riffs 🎸🎶 he’s definitely lived a charmed life. Awesome sharing my friend enjoyed the video very much. Have a nice day 😃✌️

Another group that passed me by without leaving any impression at all!
@Landsturm Жыл бұрын
Just finished the entire video. Not trying to be flippant about this group but I was too young to appreciate them in the 60s/70s and they just weren't cool in the MTV 1980s for young guys like me. They were a kind of wallpaper group for me; I was aware of them but just never got into them or their kind of Blues / Rock n' Roll.
@JimTimber Жыл бұрын
Hey Al bro ! .. they were 'in yer face' if you grew up in London. I saw Keith in his group 'The X-Pensive Winos' and they used to play in bars and clubs..you really were only a few feet away from the band which was surreal bearing in mind the success of the Stones. There is a very good Stones singles collection album called' The London Years' and it is arguably their best work. I appreciate your thoughts though as they are not everyone's cup of fish as it were ! Thanks for watching my friend !

Well you and me both really bro !! I was born in '65 and didn't really catch onto the Stones until well into the 1980's ! There was a superb doco called 25x5 which chronicled the bands 25 years.. released in 1989.. it was a great video that a London girlfriend bought me for my birthday that year. We used to have quite the evenings together watching it.. usually baked out of our brains on weed and eating chocolate bars ! lol ..we both had chocolate spread all over our lips.. and if my neighbor called he'd wink at me and say 'I know what you two have been up to !' 😂 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rH3LaYetjLOkm8U&ab_channel=RainDrop5588

Keefy played a 6 string with the top string missing and tuned to an open G like a slide tuning. People always struggle to sound like KR till they cut the top string and tune it to an open G and then its easy. Bill Wyman. Charlie is very much missed. My daughter has pics of Ron Wood holding my Grandson at the Grand old Opry. Her ex husband was preforming so Ron and his wife took care of the baby while my daughter filmed it. She still keeps in touch with Ron Woods wife on the internet. The Stones are for sure one of my Favorites! Great book! John Lee Hooker is one of my favorites!
@JimTimber Жыл бұрын
Awesome that you know the Woods !! ..so darn kule !! That's really interesting about Keith's tuning !! The Stones are awesome and I love their earlier work. Mick and Keith wrote most of the songs.. and based on a sample of a 1965 orchestral version of the Rolling Stones "The Last Time" by the Andrew Oldham Orchestra.The Verve orchestrated 'Bitter sweet symphony' which is an awesome tune !! kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z53cpmSBgNx2bZY&ab_channel=TheVerveVEVO Have an amazing week dear friends !!

Hey sweetheart ! Decades ago I used to live in Wood Green, London which was close to Muswell Hill. Bill had bought his then wife Mandy a detatched house there in Creighton Avenue (a very posh street).. and I saw her once, as I drove past on my way to work, climbing out of her car ! Yes.. ha ha .. Bill the 'cradle snatcher !' lol .. A monocle would do for me too !! lol ..and a telescope for the other eye !! So there's these two brothers.. one has massive ears and the other massive eyes. It's 1805 and they are both recruited into the Royal navy. The brother with the eyes is the lookout. ''Spanish Man 'O War.. 3 miles south-southwest!'' yells the brother with the eyes from the crow's nest. The captain takes out his most powerful telescope.. and sure enough there is a dot on the horizon. 'How do you know it's a Spanish ship ?' says the captain.. and the lookout says ''My brother can hear them talking !'' 😁
