Brief synopsis:
Princess Odette and her companions have been turned into swans by the evil magician Baron von Rothbart.
At night they change back to human form.
Prince Siegfried meets Odette at the Lake and is captivated by her.
She explains he must swear his undying love to break the spell.
He is tricked by BvR and the spell is now permanent.
In the final act they decide to die together...

В технике ПОЧТИ не придерешься ( хотя можно найти, есть места, где движения ног не синхронизированы , я про танец маленьких лебедей, на дальше меня не хватило), но... танец- это не только техника, это ещё душа тех, кто танцует. Вот её я не увидела.50 лет назад в балетной студии Дворца культуры под руководством преподавателей хореографического училища ( там они " халтурили", подрабатывали), извините, мы танцевали лучше.

Years of training for 9 hours per day, their entire body is all lean muscles, they are very light and even despite being thin and strong, they are still in pain but they love dancing so they give it everything they have.

I used to watch the swan lake ballet videos on repeat as a child (and the barbie movie but mostly the actual recordings of the performances). I dont know why but some of my clearest memories when i was younger involve watching swan lake

This is one of the many different endings to Swan Lake, but was the original as Tchaikovsky intended it to be. Odette and Prince Siegfried know there’s no way to break Rothbart’s curse on her, and rather than live as a swan, she chooses to die, her lover following soon after. They’re reunited in the afterlife, human once more, and this great sacrifice breaks the spell on the swan maidens, rendering Rothbart powerless and killing him. While it seems tragic, it really is a happy ending all around

"Маленькие лебеди" не такие уж и маленькие. 03:50 бег "семимильными шагами". Чайковский спасает ситуацию. Одетта и Зигфрид великолепны. Не знаю кто Одетта, но лебедь, истиная лебедь. Колдун тоже хорошо справился с ролью. Девушки заканчивают очень красиво.

@@olga_shaladanova В прошлом году была на постановке Екатеринбургского театра оперы и балета - волшебно, но чтобы маленькие лебеди были ощутимо меньше других - такого не помню...почти одного роста с остальными. А что до финала, то вот цитата из Википедии: "Концовка варьируется от постановки к постановке, обычно несчастливая: погибает или Одетта, или Зигфрид, или оба. В СССР любили счастливую концовку." У нас в Екб был счастливый советский финал - принц убил Ротбарта, а после того, как занавес опустился, принц с Одеттой выбежали и целовались. Зал, конечно, был в бешеном восторге. И я, не знавшая, какого финала ожидать...🙂

@@klarichen8790 Я имела ввиду не рост "маленьких лебедей". По поводу финала я уточнила, что это по моему мнению. Может быть кто-то любит трагические финалы, я считаю, что хотя бы в сказках должен быть счастливый конец и добро (любовь) должно победить зло.

A very advanced ballet class did this dance for our recital. Our theme for the year was famous paintings and they had a swan painting so they learned this very difficult dance. With the exact same music!

Their movements, we interpret how people are feeling just by body language, this is the same. Also, look at their faces when they dance, they show a lot of emotion. Just focus on the more emphasised movements and then the very gentle movements.. It tells a lot about the situations atmosphere... Then, you get more of an understanding of what's happening :)

yes! it's all about the STORY. of course the music is genius, the ballet dancers are genius (especially that villain - wow), but if there was not the story, which is so true to life and to the human condition, this ballet wouldn't be so mind-blowing

I was a ballerina myself and one of my biggest regrets was not taking care of myself enough that my arches collapsed in both of my feet and never got the chance to perform in a live ballet. I missed out on a lot of things and have only one or two pics from those days. I miss dance, especially ballet, a lot.
