I always thought it was the same woman as "Lucy" in Atmosphere lore. Lucy was always past relationships, life, and Hip Hop itself. So yeah, the woman in the backseat promising "Tomorrow you'll be on you're way, tomorrow you'll be feeling fine." fits that Rhyme Sayers vibe that he was on at the time.

Deeply personal song he's said is about his sister and the issues surrounding her within his already pretty complicated family. If you check out Myself you get an idea. Have always closely related to this one sadly.

Also this man is so underrated as an artist in general. He can sing r&b rap, be serious, be funny. Mad creative.

Really is. I think he's got some acting chops too.

He did a little promo before the release of the album... he talked about how the "woman in the back seat" represents all the women and relationships with the women in his family and how they didn't always see his dad's faults. He also talked about how them kept him going despite their love for his dad. Also mentioned depression and bipolar.

This hit me hard when I first heard it, what I took from it was a toxic relationship with the mother of my child, threatening to take my baby away one minute and then saying we are all good the next, the constant walking on eggshells to the point when she was being positive I didn't trust it at all. That was my takeaway. Lock down was hard, were all good now and we have moved past our problems but yeah this song spoke to me at that difficult time

I really had a hard time trying to think about who the woman in the back seat is. At first I thought it was drug/alcohol addiction and suicidal thoughts and what not. After listing to it a bunch of times, I'm leaning more towards the woman in the back seat is actually Hope and he's playing out his own depression, not letting hope into his life and how it's killing him. I'm not sure, but I love how open ended this song can be. The way the song was constructed feels like you can put whatever hits you the most into the song and have it related to whatever specific thing you're going through. Love Prof! Would love to see some more reactions on him from ya. Keep it up!

@@Keeferfer Took a look at most of your reactions to PROF. I feel like you're missing out on a lot of hist "live and in color" videos. He hits or misses on his official music videos, but those "live and in color" music videos really shows the emotions and lyrics in his songs. Just an Idea, but keep doing you brutha!
