I would really like to hear about what being in a sorority is like ie what you to do, what you have to pay for, what partying is like like, etc.

diversity is something i really wish i would see more on their instagrams. their social media is them advertising themselves and seeing no diversity is really disheartening ! even though you are saying they dont show all the girls in the sorority on their instagram, i feel like if they did want diversity they would show it

I totally recommend writing notes down after each house, especially in round one! We have 18 chapters at the University of Florida. Houses can get mixed up in your head after such a long round. I also rated the house 1-10 that way when I went through preffing, it was easy to list the houses I wanted back in order!

at University of Arizona, you had to write notes after going to each house and rate them

Also, do NOT talk about politics!!
@meganirene92565 жыл бұрын
Emily Katherine hey! I was wondering what happens if I join a sorority and something happens where I can’t afford to make payments. Will I get kicked out or could I just take off a semester until I can pay if that makes sense.
@emilykatherine19125 жыл бұрын
@@meganirene9256 I would talk to your sorority about payments and see if there's a way that they could work out a payment plan with you or other options in order for you to be apart of the sisterhood!
@emilykatherine19125 жыл бұрын
@Mercedes Lobb I'm not saying that you can't talk about politics, but in today's society, our country is so polarized and there are a lot of different opinions and some people don't like when someone believes different things. With that being said, if you happened to talk about politics during recruitment and that sorority turned you down, then it's obviously not your home. The sorority you end up being apart of should love and welcome you for who you are and turn you down not based off of your views of your country/leaders. I would say rush and see how you feel after! If a house you like drops you, then you're right it is their loss! Lastly, just be yourself, and talk about things that make you happy!
@AnyaTiraspol5 жыл бұрын
@Mercedes Lobb It should not be the first conversation, but if one has strong political views and they are important to them it shouldn't stop them from being a part of a sorority or anything. It's like any relationship, be it romantic, social or professional. Once you got them interested in you, the next step is for you to interview them and find out if you want to be with them. At one point or another, politics is going to come up and you want to be with people who respect your point of view regardless of whether they agree with it or not. And, if a different political view is a deal breaker for you, then you got to find those who who agree with you. Either way, it's a good idea to learn to argue your point while respecting those with differing views, political or any other kind.

In the Netherlands we have "studentenverenigingen" and that's quite similar to this. Only here you mostly have to go to intro weeks where people basically drink a lot, people screaming in there face, not eating normal and getting disgusting stuff all over you etc. To get in. This is not with all of them but there are quite a few where so much shit happens

The internet has archives which stores old data, even if the stuff has been already deleted. A Pokémon leaker once made a mistake of showing a part of his Discord profile image on a leak and someone else shared that on Twitter before they realised their mistake. If you Google something, you should get a list of results to thousands of websites. Each one of them has a tiny triangle next to the link and if you click that and go on the archived version of the site, you will find deleted posts. That's how I found the deleted photos. archive.org also stores data if someone visits your account through that page and requests it to be archived. Idk if it also does that automatically. I have no idea if and how you can request the archived pages to be deleted. Remember: Once on the internet, always on the internet. You cannot stop data that is flying around, being saved and duplicated countless times.
