What a fantastic project you get going. Thanks for sharing. With time, I'm sure your channel will grow. I'm impressed by your dedication and practical skills. You have bought a fantastic boat. Cheers.

I follow a number of build channels and find yours is amongst the ones I look forward to seeing when they drop. Can't wait to see how the keel works out. Cheers from Australia

Really enjoying watching you both (important to emphasise both, not just one) work together on all the aspects of your projects - theoretical, technical and practical. Although not on your immediate priorities I wonder what your thoughts are on two things: the quality of the hull (water impregnation etc) and the "value" of rod rigging. I look forward to watching the project develop and wish you both the best of luck and success.

Thank you ☺️☺️ We did some measurements when we bought the boat to check for moisture in the hull, and didn’t find any (but guess it can be easily missed if measuring in the wrong places 😊 during the boats lifetime it has been standing on land for more years than it has been in the water so we are not super worried about that, but maybe we’ll get an unpleasant surprise in the future 😊 And yeah, the rigging, we will prioritize this as soon as we managed to get the boat into the water. We’ve started doing some research and talked to some riggers, and so far we haven’t really decided on anything, or have any strong opinions either way 😊

Impressive systematic approach . My own tasks for the day now seem much more finite. Great work. Thank you for posting.

Not a small decision to make. The keel will determine how effective your boat will sail. It is a very nuanced problem. Glad it's not me! Good job.

Throw some tankage into that empty space in the keel. Diesel or water would be nice down there. Thanks for throwing in the pounds and feet conversions for us Americans.

Only 3 countries in the world use the imperial system any more. The US is the only one of the 35 countries that make up America! 😊😊
