Great video! The germanium Super Phat Mod sits nicely between the awesome SPM and Retro Super, in terms of cleaning up by volume knob but also in sounding like it's about to explode when pushing it hard. When I plugged the GSPM into my 64 Vibro Champ I almost fainted. Luckily I was already seated.

Great Vid and playing BTW! I am on the fence. I play mostly bluesy SRV style type stuff. I just picked up a Boss Artist. What pedal should I be looking at? I know I want that Keeley Magic. Thanks !

Is that a blues cube artist? Or katana artist? Both great amps btw I think the standard phat mod works great with a slightly broken up amp or gets nastier if more broken up. The standard will give you a light grit like a john Mayer thing but you can push it a bit raunchier too. The germanium and retro germanium have more gain and kind of become distortion boxes. So ya standard yellow as found on www.rkfx.com (the Keeley site) we have a forum on Facebook as well “the keeley sound check” come say hello I’m fairly active there and lots of others- all skill levels welcome and participate Thanks for checking out my vid! Doing one on the red dirts soon

@@jamiemharrison4493 It is a Boss Katana Artist. Thank You. Are you using a Fender American Tele and Fender Blues Jr ? I really wanted a tube amp like the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe that has great clean with lots of head room and is a good pedal platform. It was just too loud even with the master at 2 and the volume at 1. I decided to go with the Boss Katana Artist as it has a built in Antuenuator with tube logics, so I am in a 5 watt world which the neighbors appreciate. Great! I will be climbing off the fence and getting the golden box ! I really appreciate the information, definitely helps! Just got one on order. Sure ! That sounds great. I will definitely check out that group and look for you. Always up for hearing groovy tunes from groovy people. Sounds like a good community. Ok perfect, just subscribed and will be looking out for your next video!

@@maximumguitarage thanks for the sub It’s a parts caster with a fender decal on the headstock. Buddy put it together. The mini bucker is funky 😎 The amp is actually the pro jr which is pretty scrappy. Blues jr sounds good too Glad you snagged one. Hope you love it! See you on the forum soon!
