Though I will say, according to Keeper’s page on the Isaac wiki, him and Lost actually might have some small little references to Charon's Obol, which is a tradition in northern Mediterranean cultures, particularly Greek and Roman cultures. As it states on the wiki, “one would place a pair of coins on the deceased's eyes to pay Charon, the ferryman of the river Styx, for the trip across, but also to pay for a return trip from the world of the dead if one was expected. This is further supported by the fact The Lost, whose starting coin is also suspected to be a reference to Charon's Obol, only has one coin and is depicted as a spirit, while Keeper has two and is depicted as a corpse, supposing he paid to bring his body back across the river Styx.” Not biblical, but I thought it’d be worth mentioning in case you or anyone else weren’t aware of that. One other little thing I was wondering too, do you ever plan to make videos like these about some popular modded characters once you’re finished with the base game’s roster, like Job or Sodom and Gomorrah? Would be pretty neat, but no pressure of course lol

Wanna point out something related to Blue Baby: The Boonies (creatures part of The Badlands games:like,Cereus Peashy,Carious Weltling) ' skeleton is a Blue Baby.This can be a easter egg or intentional;i've got to ask Edmund. Later in 2006/2007,Edmund made a design for an "updated" Blue Baby called "Ghost".Worth to point out that it was used in Gish 2 and a prototype called The Book Of Knots. There once existed a cancelled Dead Baby Dressup game called Dead Baby Dressup 7 / Dead Baby Dressup Infinity.I dunno the exact name,but it was once in Edmund's first website. ALSO in Gish,the end of level 2-1 features a Blue Baby.The first Carious Weltling features a Blue Baby Head as a cursor.

The problem I have with tainted blue baby is the fact that his poop mechanic is a roadblock for synergy. Yeah, you can still shoot tears, but none of the poops synergize with any tear effects or items, and while it’s cool that the poops he creates synergize with each other, every single run just feels the same with him. It’s the same issue as tainted appolyon. Both of them have this really cool mechanic that isn’t explored or expanded nearly enough. If poop items and huge tear effects (ludo, brim, C section, tiny planet, mom’s knife etc etc) would synergize with t. bb’s passive poops, then that would change him from a 2/10 to a 7/10 for me! And same with t. Apollyon.

Tainted Blue baby has to be one of the best characters in the game, he is so in debt yet well balanced that makes him an amazing rewarding challenge, yes, he doesn't have acces to bombs, that can be rough, but you can choose to hold a poop bomb for whenever you feel you may need some, or maybe use hold to keep a holy poop and wait for a diahrea ao you can get an absolute crazy dps for bosses. You also have to be cardul when using poison poops, they are one of the best damage dealers in normal rooms, but also comes at the cost of you maybe blowing up if you throw it at a fire, but oh! You can also make fire poops! Allowing you to turn your already strong poison poops into pretty much nukes, and, again, can be used as bombs to blowing up shopkeepers, rocks, walls, etc. And while speaking of damage dealers, black poops may be the least interestkng ones, yet still get some good use out of them, room with a lot of small enemies like spiders or flies? Insta clear with a single black poop! Corn poops are also quite practical, but a bit harder to use, being almost like a turret, spawning up to 3 flies at a time, it is quite usefull in earlier floors, but on later ones tou have to be more precise as to not destroy them so you can get the most out of them. Need to deal with a particular strong enemy or just need cover? Stone poops! They kill most normal enemies in a single hit, can take quite a beating, and are good to block the path of fast moving enemies! There is so much about this character that people just ignore, and it's quite sad, this is one of the most in depth characters in the game, and one of my fav aswell, his style of gameplay is reslly unique, keeping poops powerful early in the run, but also keeping them crucial later on, when I beat delirium as T blue baby, it was one of the modt intense fights I've ever had, but also one of the most enjoyable ones, I loved it.

I totally understand how Soiled ??? works, I just don't like it. If I could change a few things about him, I wish the poops scaled with his damage, he got more poops, he got certain poops from having certain Items, and he shouldn't be able to pick up poops off the ground if he's holding the most he can. I'd also like him to get a poop back if he destroys one on the ground (if they're destroyed before even reaching the ground it doesn't count and Bombs grant a poop for every obstacle it breaks). This way, he gets a slight advantage in rooms full of poop and if you're throwing out poops just to use a specific one, you're not wasting all of them. If they wanted to encourage even more strategy or anti-cheesing, the poop you get back for destroying them could always be the same kind as the one you destroyed (with Bombs giving the basic poop and a 10% chance for a Bomb poop back). Would make him a much more synergistic and strategic character without taking away his difficulty (you'd only start with the basic poop, corn poop, and creep poop).

I’m pretty sure he was made to hold only 7 poops and pick up even at max on purpose. If it wasn’t like that people would just cycle for hallowed ground/bomb poops and drop anything else, limited space and the need to use less impressive poop in order to pick up new ones are probably meant to encourage actually using every possible poop. Plus Hold already gives some leeway for basically allowing a bomb poop on command at all times. If I were responsible for game balance I’d just give poops more synergy, right now there’s only poison poop/fart+burning poop and liquid diarrhea+most other poops, I’d appreciate more effects like the stone poop boosting durability of all nearby poops, basic poop copying the effect of a nearby poop and corn poop flies turning into locusts of pestilence/war/death/famine if poison/burning/black/holy poops respectively are near it. And this idea would be less of a balancing question and more just cool details, but I think Midas’ touch could add golden poops that inflict the effect and drop a coin to ???’s arsenal, petrified poop could increase the odds of getting stone poops, meconium could increase the odds of getting black poops, the virus could add red poops to the arsenal, lil larva could spawn locusts from special effect poops and E. Coli could add a very low chance to create a giant poop. Overall contact effect and poop-related items (and trinkets, there’s actually so many bad poop trinkets it’s incredible) are quite underpowered, so I’d appreciate if they had special interactions with a couple characters and the already brimming with synergies tainted blue baby seems like a very decent candidate

I think the reason I dislike him is because of the explosions from the gas poops + fire, it can be hard to avoid if you don’t focus.
