I can almost sense how on-edge everyone is whenever Keem says their name thinking they're about to be put on blast after Nux lmao. Keem always had a confrontational tone every time I've seen him as a guest in other podcasts, so I'm not too surprised of this outcome considering everyone on here is usually chill and knows their boundaries. That being said, I enjoyed this episode _because_ of all the awkwardness and tension. I really hope they keep this energy going bringing in more controversial guests in the future, because stuff like this is what makes things even more interesting while also preventing the podcast from becoming another echo chamber.

Stop complaining about your mental health when you spend all your time on the site that makes it worse. It's like standing in a fire and complaining that you're hot. 4. You're not as good of a person as you think you are 5. Consider how good of a person you are off of the internet because it's probably not as virtuous as your twitter persona 6. The dopamine fills you get from a popular tweet isn't going to mean anything when you're 30, depressed, lonely and realise you've wasted your years arguing with people that will never change their mind and being supported by people you don't even know. 7. Keemstar is the textbook definition of terminally online: A person who cannot engage in carefree fun or interact normally anymore because their views and behaviors have been warped from spending too much time in niche social and political bubbles online. Their entire bodies are tightly clenched all day and they are never really relaxed - they must keep vigil for anyone who fails their purity test so they can sound the alarms and give in to their repressed feral tendencies to burn you at the stake. The landlord point is an interesting one, I would kill to see a full podcast on it with some internet leftie as I'm torn on it myself: The fact housing has evolved from a commodity that we aspire to manufacture as much as possible of (think post-WWII housing boom) to a speculative asset isn't great for us young fellas and poorer people in general, as anyone who owns a house has a vested interest in limiting the supply of houses. Home ownership has drifted out of reach for more and more people over the last few decades and that's a fact you have to be insane to dispute. Markets create powerful incentives - incentivising "NIMBYism" doesn't serve society at large and is fundamentally unsustainable. With that said, for the government to step in and regulate how many houses you can own or for what purpose is draconian - not only does that go against our values (if you're a tankie pretend you didn't read this and go back to crying, nothing has changed and one loves you) but it remains to be seen how effective that would be in a legal system littered with loopholes. Taxing second home ownership completely disregards the genuine needs of some people to own property in different parts of the country for a multitude of reasons, not to mention the holiday home dream. Who doesn't want a family retreat by the sea or a country house to escape the big city for the weekend? That's what social mobility is all about for fucks sake. And even with rent there's a case to be made - in a perfect world people would get a mortgage as soon as they leave university, but if you've looked around recently you already know our world is far from perfect. The middle ground is to relax housing regulations and ramp up construction but I don't think that's happening any time soon, and if it ever did we can expect a lot of politicians' friends to suddenly get huge cheques for "affordable" housing developments on the taxpayers' dime. There really is no winning here, but I think it's important to see the landlord debate outside the context of screeching tankies on Twitter who type about how immoral it is to buy food from Walmart on their $1400 iPhone Pro while mom stocks up on groceries. The housing crisis rabbit hole goes a lot deeper than that and I think it plays a key role in the increasing division of the English-speaking world. It's so hard to get any civil takes on this topic as it immediately spirals into politics - most people who rent think landlords are hoarders, non-homeowners resent homeowners, and homeowners don't respect non-homeowners. I'd love to see someone try square this circle with the lads in a light hearted way; Muta's a nice and knowledgeable guy and has experience with which to back up his perspective. All we need is a sane leftie, how hard can that be? Get someone with a brain on though, not Hasan pls. Or get Hasan vs. Keem going lol If anyone reads this comment and has some interesting podcasts with good takes do send me the link I'd love to listen.

That's one thing I highly agree with Keemstar on. If you are of the high school age and have kind of an ambiguous take on your future, I cannot recommend enough getting into a trade. Learn to be a plumber, welder, CNC machinist, carpenter, something that is a hands-on skill-based job. They are surprisingly interesting and you will find employment. Don't plummet yourself into debt only to struggle to find a job later

the fact that keem cant see that her "lying" was a result of the abuse as in, he literally forced her to lie about the relationship to make more money because he was trying to virtually pimp her out, makes me wonder if theres a brain in there or if its just a hamster wheel.
