Caleb Williams probably a 27th to 30th best starting QB at the moment, who mainly throws screen passes. Kmet is trying to spark confidence in his rookie QB. The only one trying to bring Fields into the conversation is you. The only thing I can say Caleb Williams is going to play just liked Justin Fields during his first 2 years... obliviously with a lot more weapons. My confidence in Caleb Williams is a 3... 90% of his throws are less than 6-7 yards. I'd be more confident if Eberflus and Poles wasn't the HC and GM.

I was pro keeping Fields, but Caleb Williams has impressed me. He doesn't go for the long bombs unless he thinks he can make it, he makes good passes within 3 seconds, and isn't afraid to run when he has to. He can read defenses, and if his O-line doesn't get him killed, he will continue to improve, and will be the Bears QB for years to come, and I think he will beat the Packers finally.

I actually like the idea of trading Keenan Allen if we can get just one solid olineman. Let’s not kid ourselves we traded for Keenan Allen because we didn’t expect Rome Odunze to fall in our lap on draft night. Keenan Allen still had a purpose though, he can mentor the young WRs and Caleb but that’s already happened during training camp. Keenan’s use on the field isn’t very high. Plus trading him away would open up a lot of cap space that could allow Bears to get a good olineman either in trade or offseason.
