Worked for me!! Thanks. Its after u enter the password and scooter is ready. Then hold minus button with power button until u hear beep. If that doesnt work then hold plus button with power button for 10 seconds till u hear a beep. Took me a few tries but then it worked! On 2 diff G4s

OK so I've had mine for a few months - love it - I disabled the code right off the bat, but now I"m going to be attending college (again), and want to use it to motor about. I tried pressing Power plus -- for 10 secs -- nothing. Will now try Power + to see if I can enable it like you said... BRB.....

As of June 2024, the manual included does tell you the default security code: 000 But the procedure for changing the code doesn’t seem to work. I’ve tried the “-“ & “power” buttons for 10 seconds, I’ve tried the “+” & “power” buttons for 10 seconds. Neither gets me into the change mode. I can disable the code and re-enable the code, but I can’t seem to change the code. Not to complain about your video, because it’s great, but you didn’t actually change the code. You enter change mode, but never change the code. I can do that too, but I can never get it to acknowledge a new code. Can you record a clip showing the code change and then unlocking with the new code ? That would be great, thanks.

Thanks for the help, great video. Also any tips on how to make the battery last longer of its even possible, like is there any batteries i could by to replace it in the middle of a long ride ? Ik weird question.

The best thing you can do to extend range is to give a few kicks every time you start and on big hills where the scooter slows this takes the load off the battery / motor and is really easy way to get the most miles from a charge.

Great video. Question. My battery indicator light is blinking and my scooter won't power off. im gonna replace the battery but shouldn't I be able to still power off scooter holding power button? or is this some kinda default safety feature to keep from damaging scooter? confused in Brooklyn. /👑

Hold the power button until it turns off maybe 30 seconds. If it still does not power off plug in charger and see if it will charge. Once it stops flashing try to power off again.

I’m trying to reset the passcode, but this video keeps popping up. Anyone have info on how to do this. FYI: in The beginning of this video you say to enter code and then hit the plus button twice to activate the scooter. It’s a little confusing because it’s the power button you press twice

@@keenanjeff that’s actually incorrect, I’m confused and not sure what your talking about in the video since it’s not really unlocking the scooter. I found ONE video on KZbin pertaining to my question. Reset button is under the electronic devise at the top. Unscrew and it sets password back to 000. It WORKED absolutely perfectly. Reset button completely allows you to do whatever

Hold “+” button for 3 seconds to power the headlight and tail light power on and off. I have not found a way to disable the headlight. maybe remove the tiller and reinstall checking the connections.

Mine has done that on a couple of occasions but turning it on and off a gain fixes it. I have my code disabled for the most part I don't let it out of my sight or use the cable lock.

@@keenanjeff Hey - thanks for the quick reply! ......So, I did that. Then what? I must either have the PIN wrong or it's not working. Don't you just hit the power button twice once the PIN is set? Mine is not unlocking. I have emailed Gotrax to see if there's a way to reset it. Not especially hopeful on that. If I can't get this to work I'll be super upset. $650 is a lot to throw away :'( EDIT: Ah - I figured it out! I had the PIN wrong. Man - I am putting that in my password manager right now! Hi Jeff! I really need your help! I recently inhereited a gotrax gmax ultra scooter from a family member, however, I don't know the 3 digit code. I've tried all the hard and soft reset options but the scooter won't unlock. I've contacted gotrax but they are no help because I'm oiutside of the 90 day warranty timeframe. If you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it! The family member who originially purchased it paid almost $900 and I really don't want to see it go to waste because I can't unlock it. @@keenanjeff I did and have thx mate... have a shop here in my city that's directed with gotrax and factory all OVER WORLD and ..help me as I have also the xiomi clone and had ninebot max and THIS G4 is by far better than those and my top level 9ne day for weekend agression speed relieving etc is mantis or dual ped or appolo etc... but yes this G4 HAS the options and capabilities for DUAL BRAKE handles etc as the spots are already cut out and places put in for wiring it CAN he done I know some1 who has it in THIS G4 and it's on you TUBE here also...they DIDA THE hard work ALREADY just need a cable and handle I'm going to ask my shop to do this..... god bless and #awareness #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #REDEMPTION #faith #family #forgiveness #endcruetly #xtremesportstherapy
