We totaly need an additional feature for unwraping/unfolding tracked video by geometry UV. Is there roadmaped this for the nearest future?

We're considering it and can see how beneficial this feature is. We hope to add it in the future, but it probably won't happen shortly.

@@keentools A first step in this direction could be to generate a "UV Map" instead of a wireframe geo, and the ability to select a UV layer to create a geo map. This could easily be implemented, in fact it's just a couple of geo rendering modes instead of a single overlay mode, like wireframe - for pintools, UV GeoMap - overlay generaiting UVmap acording GeoUV for third-party plugins workflow, and Texture layer - for "texturing" the geo back. 3 modes for geo overlay rendering: 1) Wireframe (like now) 2) UV GeoMap (generation) 3) UV Layer (adding from timeline) The easiest way for the second step is to make a separate free plugin like reVisionReMap, but better(smoother) and with an unusual gradient format, coordinated with the UV GeoMap generator. I understand that this workflow, in NUKE, is covered by capabilities of NUKE itself, but we all know that Adobe themselves will never do anything like that, and the world will not get a workflow, which with the appearance of your plugin is urgent from day one. Then, without overloading the interface and functionality of your wonderful plugin, you give people a great tool for VFX retouching, which is so lacking in AE. Please pass on my comment to the developers. P.S. If any of you subscribers are curious about "what this is for"? it is for easy replacement of parts of the tracked object: remove markers, erase or replace some fragment, make cosmetic changes or tattoos, change labels, remove unwanted cracks, scuffs or graffiti from anywhere, cleanup and retouching of any complexity without the usual tedious workflow with manual rotoscoping...all that "Lockdown" plugin has to offer today, only in 3D!

I second this. But I will say, you can export to a 3D program, and do it there with better tools. AE’s 3D implementation is weak, so KeenTools would have to build their own for AE. A lot of work that’s probably an edge case for most AE artists. I’d rather see the full FaceTracker in AE first.

@@ericmlevy The classic Retouching workflow looks like this. For 2D: Tracking -> Stabilizing -> Retouching - > ReversStab. this workfow is available in AE out of the box. The first and last step can be more complex and more correct if you use third party tracking system considering more complex deformation model also already available for AE (I won't mention its name now, because it looks like my last comment was banned for that) For 3D: 3D Tracking -> Unfolding (projecting rtacked video on UV) -> ,"UV" Retouching - > Reprojecting. This workflow is NOT available in AE out of the box and is NOT presented as a third-party solution. the only piece of this workflow available in AE today is the last step of the workflow - Retexturing for CG shots on postproduction, using UVmap pass calculated along with the main object intended for texture substitution (I'm not mentioning again the names of the third-party products to open such a possibility, in AE out of the box this feature is absent) but all the existing plugins provides mapping texture in AE using UVmap - suffering quality, not to mention the fact that it would need to attract the 3d editor that is very lengthening and complicates the workflow now back to GeoTracker for AE - the ease of MatchMoving it gives right inside AE is a Game changer in 3D not only in AE, in NUKE it looks exactly the same, BUT NUKE has a toolkit available right out of the box that allows you to embed GeoTracker into the 3DTrack Retouching Workflow described above. Adobe won't add anything like that even if the new 3D engine in AE comes out of Beta. And I described the request to KeenTools that they would make small changes to their module, which would help to implement it WITHOUT LEAVING OUT AE(that would make sense) If for that to be done, need to leave AE and go to the 3D editor, for you it would be much better to do it in Blender entirely (GeoTracker soon to come too) and not to race there data back and forth. The point of new products is to simplify the work and reduce the number of steps in the workflow. By adding a couple of functions to GeoTracker, KeenTools can make it the ultimative tool not only for MatchMoving but also for 3D Retouching and become the world's FIRST and ONLY tool that allows you to do it in AE.
