Had the same issue, grew some carolina reapers, made a super potent sauce and brushed a bunch around the bottom of the tree about 2 feet high, not a single bite, after they had a few

@@OutdoorswithTrav Hello Sir, can you tell me what guage of mesh you are using? Do you think 16 would be sufficient, or would I need to go to 14 ? They are attacking my willows.. 🙁

Hello Eric, Yes, willows are a prime food source for beaver - you are wise to be proactive. Any gauge of wire fencing is better than nothing. However, the heavier the better for durability as an exclosure. I’ve seen chicken wire used many times which does work, but can get bent down more easily by other species of wildlife and by people. fine if you have only one or two tree but I got 36 tree to wrap up That a bit too much and too much $$$
