What makes the mount useful it terms of gold making is if you focus on crafting. TSM will easily show you what is and isn't profitable to make based on AH prices of reagents. No need to look up what is profitable on your crafter and then travel to an AH or log onto an AH alt. Just mount up, buy mats, craft, post, and repeat on your next crafter.

I use your method, which has been very lucrative but I also threw in another thing! When I farm herbs in Legion, I always make sure I send one of my alts(who is an alchemist) some Fjarnskaggle, to make the Skagglixyr (that potion that turns you invisible!). It goes for about 500 gold per 10 potions on my server and sells pretty fast since it's still very much used in mythic +. :D

It seems like the overall economy on my server (Thrall-US) massively undersells things according to TSM's regional market average, but maybe once I get a good starting basis on gold I can corner the market on flipping Felwort/Pigments/Glyphs.

I thought the same thing. I rolled inscription for a while but the highest selling glyphs on my server were 1,000g (the absolute highest). Maybe there just weren't any of the higher value glyphs on the market? If the mage table glyph was seriously going for 15k gold, I would 100% be rolling inscription. Unfortunately, the market for such things highly depends on your servers tastes and my server apparently doesn't have a taste for glyphs :( If you boil down the suggestions in the guide, it's "Find something that consistently has high value on your AH and figure out how to farm it". If i'ts gliders, bags, glyphs, or whatever, there is probably a fairly efficient way to obtain it and sell it (level of effort highly dependent on what it is)

@xrelik Obviously liquid gold is a faster way to become rich but it has to be backed by already existing gold, thats why when deflation attacks (bfa has been a damn deflation expansion that havent deflated at all but ruined the economy more) raw gold is better. In legion i mainly started to get gold by literally conquering the spanish pvp AH in the jewelry side, flipping prices and etc, but that was a time sink that i cannot allow to sustain, so i moved to raw gold with (rip) class halls, and was WAY more profitable in time/outcome. Now i ask, time efficently, how much time are you in the AH for those 200k? Cause making lfr runs i can made perfectly 20k/day with my alts (8-10k/alt / hour), actually im winning nearly 600k/month.

Thats scummy. If they make a pet for charity, it should be All the money you make for it, and not only a portion of it via putting a cap on how much.

That happens to be a different addon called RareScanner that highlights rares the addon detects. IIRC you're looking for a unit frames addon like elvui, pitbull or shadow unit frames that can (might?) display more complete models.

One of the things i'm doing for years to earn gold is selling battered hilts from pit of saron. On my server they sell anyware between 40-80 k gold, i drop one on average every 15 runs and one run takes about 2 minutes. Sure cann be a hustle to sell them but i allways managed. You can also consider doing moltenfront dailies, if you are at the end you can farm a bag every day in about 10-15 min which has a 15% chance of dropping a pet worth over a 100k on average.

idk about bags, but gliders are easy enough to make even w/o engineering. Just get the building for engineering, and level up your mine. Get your mats from there, don't forget the orders you can make at the mine for more ore. Just go the engineering building and make your gliders. As for garrisons...can't help ya much with that unless ya wanna skip the beginning quests. There is an island in pandaria..the timeless isle I think it's called..there's a spot there where i think you click on a blue fire and sit in a chair (There's a circle of them), and it will teleport you to somewhere in gorgrond. You can also buy furs for garrison resource, sell those to the AH for a bunch of good also. I love the garrison because it had and auction house, bank, and guild bag! The methods I've been using recently:- a} Farming Normal mode Iron Docks, in Draenor. b} Farming other old five mans. The Auchindoun instances in Outland yield roughly 150-300g each, and there are four of them within easy walking distance of each other. c} The other day I soloed Molten Core with my boosted Paladin, just because I'd never seen it before and was curious. In addition to a couple of nodes I saw outside Blackrock Mountain, I got 16 units of Dark Iron ore, which I was able to sell for around 450g. d} Questing. I was getting 7g 40s per quest from the Auchindoun instances. I got at least 500g from the quests I had to do to get my garrison in Draenor, as well.

Take this into consideration - I sell dozens of different kinds of glyphs and post a few hundred auctions each day. Maybe 10% of those auctions actually sell. If you're on a realm that's just major underpopulated, consider a higher (but not too high) pop realm to do business in.

You kinda have into the gold mindset. With each item that drops consider if its worth anything. Some blue boe drops in low level dungeons can be worth 10,000g! And without TSM or something similar you wouldnt even know. Many low level trade goods also sell really easy, just mail anything of value to a bank alt to post. I also think for many people cutting down on expenses is very major. Transmog is really expensive, that ~500+ gold per mog really adds up over a month

Honestly it probably isn't a bad idea if you dislike the mount to instead invest the money long term. Craftable mounts only go up in value as time goes on generally. So rather than sit on a sea of gold, turn it into an item and exchange it for more gold later when gold is worth less. Imagine if at the end of wrath of the lich king you made 20 motorcycles and held onto them til BFA. Sure if you had Wrath gold , you would still have it. But its value would have changed considerably and would be ultimately not that much. But the motorcycles due to inflation are worth far more. It's like investing in gold bars IRL.

Nothing sells on the ah anymore. Doesn't matter if you're dumping anchor weed for 30g or other herbs for 2g, ore for 7g...none of it sells. Fish sometimes. Pots, flasks, feasts sells cheaper than the mats. There is gold to be made on the ah, but its a tiny trickle compared to what it even was when 8.2 dropped. Battlepets are always well over UJ's values. The player population has gotten so low, and those who are left are major auction house sellers. The few others are all saving their gold because its harder for them to get and tokens are expensive, not to mention saving for things like this mount. Plus nobody raids or pvps. Basically raw gold is the only way to go right now.

Nobody would be selling them if it wasnt profitable. Even if Alchemy is dead on your server which is possible there are tons of other ways to make gold in wow.

Thanks for the video! So far i've been earning a stable income of 15k a day from just farming 200 anchor weed daily. I've also started farming tome of the lost legion from Isle of thunder on my warlock to get another 15k (if it sells). It normally goes for everything between 15-25k so it's just an extra income. If you get 15k a day for a year, you get just about 5Mil - hopefully i'll be able to mix my method with yours and earn a lot more and get it before it's gone :)

I'm not sure this will be enough, tbh. But it's not bad as a 30 min every couple of days investment. And since I'm currently leveling my herbalist/mining alt and my inscription alt(she was a LW back in Cata for the HP armor kits, probably dropping that for herbs since she's a DK), it'll be worth giving a kinda half assed shot. I mean, if it does yield 9k gold a week per char on 2 chars, that'll mesh nicely with my other strats considering the short time investment needed beyond what I'm already planning.

Glyphs really hit or miss, with BfA ones selling for the most (some days I can get 8888g, but average maybe 4k). Inscription decimated with two expansions. Hope that felwort sells, but I would invest my time into farming some dungeons/raids for transmog. Do what you enjoy is the best way!

Keep in mind he said gathering Felwort on 10 toons takes like 30 minutes (probably longer for me cuz my comp is shit and Broken Isles loadscreen is still a nightmare), so just doing that once every 2 days still gives you a good amount of time to farm dungeons/raids on top of whatever you make from the herbs.

Can it be done using BfA professions, or do I need to do Legion ones instead? What I do now is, Get Bfa Ore, Flowers, Leather, and sell it. Usually selling around 4000-5000G per 200. That IS a lot of grinding, basically I can give up on playing he actual game. Besides this, I try other professions. Gems don't really sell well, just started enchanting, but he's 110, so I need to level him up to 120. Also doing LW, TL, and IS. I has sent a LOT of regular BfA flowers to my IS, since they hardly sell, but if I can use it on him, why not. Also got Alchemy, but the flasks etc don't seem to sell that well, and require a lot of effort, esp now since in BfA there's a rare flower involved, that requires a LOT of time to farm. I do think, really goldsellers, have different things, I just don't know what. Do I need to get Legion IS as well?

This particular idea cannot be used with BfA materials/professions because there is no Felwort equivalent - there is not limited, World Quest exclusive material you can benefit from with an alt army. Doing BfA mining/herbalism is definetly the most basic, lowest barrier of entry way to make gold, in that it requires very little setup and knowledge to execute. However, it does not generate nearly enough gold per hour spent to be a realistic way of making 5 million for the brutosaur. It's good for amassing some starting capital, but from there you will need to switch to something more involved.

If you're already using the Garrison for your gold making, and have a lvl 3 garrison, I would tack on doing the LFR version of all the raids, found by talking to the blind orc dude found next to your music box dude or between your mission building and your battle pet area if you don't have the music box. It takes about an hour and a half for a max level character to go through all of them, and will net you 4-6k gold per character per week. If you don't want to spend that much time on it, just doing the archimonde fight, the Blackhand fight, and the first wing of highmaul only takes about 10 minutes total and will net you 1-2k per character per week, not as great but 2k in ten minutes in straight up raw gold is a nice little bump.

Some thoughts about this particular goldmaking method: I am doubtful this method alone would make you enough gold for the brutosaur. On EU realms, the average price of Felwort is around 180g ATM. Doing the inscription shuffle might bump that up somewhat, depending how the particular realm is going in regards to Inscription materials. This means that you would likely make around 1k to 1,5k gold per character every two days. Ten characters would give you 5-8ish k gold per day, and I have to admit ten characters sounds excessive and beyond what a regular, average player would have. The most optimistic estimate, namely that we still have a full 12 months from now, still requires making ~14k gold net profit every single day to hit the 5 million gold if you started saving right now. If you are currently sitting on a million or two then sure, but I would argue people sitting on that kind of money are not looking for casual, low effort gold making tips. Actually using the Felwort for Inscription might increase your profits over a longer stretch of time, depending on the particular realm's glyph market, but I would argue that if you want to involve crafting in the equation, there is a lot more gold to be made with a similar time/effort invested into current expansion crafting, especially with a new raid on the horizon. In other words, this is fine for some extra low effort income, but likely won't be enough to hit your goal without applying additional time, knowledge and resources that could be better spent elsewhere. For a very casual way of making gold, it is also potentially volatile, since it relies on the AH economy. If prices for Felwort and associated shuffle materials and crafts tanks, you will be left sitting on a lot of stock. This is especially risky given that this has just been made public on KZbin - there is bound to be an influx of Felwort into the economy as people start replicating the idea, and that means prices have nowhere to go but down. There is a very hefty opportunity cost inherent in locking up a profession slot on each of your characters. There is a lot you can do with a bunch of characters with a bunch of crafting professions that will make you comparable, if not better gold - Alchemy transmutes or Sky Golem parts crafting or other cooldown crafts come to mind. There is also a lot of value in having the entire suite of crafting professions available and being able to stock the AH with loads of different stuff - something that might be impossible if all your characters have Herbalism. There is a way around that opportunity cost though. You do not, in fact, have to level up alts to do this, however good Korrak's Revenge is. You can do the Felwort world quest perfectly fine on a 110 Class Trial character - just hearthstone out of the tutorial section, take your capital city portal to Azsuna and go from there. There are a couple caveats to this. First, Blizzard has, in the past, been a bit miffed with people using Class Trials to work around timegated content. While I do not believe they would go after individuals doing this, be advised that this could be considered an exploit. Second, there are some minor convenience issues when using a Class Trial as opposed to one of your decked 120 alts. Slower flight speed, lack of Dalaran Hearthstone, inability to complete the quests to get additional Felwort ranks, larger aggro radius for mobs etc. If you are dead set on making multiple characters with Herbalism, you can also consider taking Skinning alongside it. This opens up the opportunity to pick up the Skinning world quest alongside Herbalism, generating Felhide. While Felhide is generally not as lucrative as Felwort, check your realm's market to determine if it might be worth the extra time to skin big dog alongside collecting Felwort. That's everything that comes to mind. I find the idea of the Felwort Alt Farm to be quite creative and endearing, particularly for the more casual crowd that is looking to start making some more gold. In the context of getting the brutosaur though, I think you can, and frankly have to, do better with your goldmaking setup. This should definetly be treated as a stepping stone, not endgame means of generating brutosaur gold.

Now sure if you're on a populated server, the price will reach 5M pretty easily. If you're on a low populated server on the other hand, you hit the jackpot. You probably will save at least 3M

If you have any decent raider.io score, you can join a boosting community and boost people through +10s, doing 7-8 boosts a week gets you 200k gold, and since the dungeons are so low level you can blast through them quickly, taking maybe an hour or a bit longer to do 4 dungeons.

We will be married for one year next month. I play since Cata, and have made my gold and leveled alts during those years of game. Most of my brutosaur gold came from afk garrison and class hall missions. I do have a lot of free time right now to play - and am playing too much tbh - because I dropped my job and am getting medical treatment to get pregnant anytime soon. It's always good to hear someone was able to drop the game when it was making more harm than good, and it is also very kind of you to try and help a random person on the internet. The Brutosaur going away is blizzard creating artificial scarcity hoping to drive those casually farming for it into buying tokens to get it. They're essentially punishing everyone in game who is not an AH baron and is grinding it out slowly, like me (currently at 1.8 million gold). They tested the waters for this when they removed those pets and mounts from the in game store a while back. Since the people didnt riot, now they're looking for other things to remove for literally no reason to force panicked purchasing. And it absolutely dumbfounds me that people can't see this. This is a move that has "Activision" written all over it. And to anyone saying "HUUUURRR you'll still be able to get it on the BMAH DUUURRRRRR" Here's a comparison for you. What you have to do to get the Brutosaur now: 1) Grind up 5 million gold. 2) Purchase the mount. What you have to do to purchase the Brutosaur off the BMAH: 1) Grind up 10 million gold (Guaranteed it sells for gold cap whenever it is posted) 2) Watch the BMAH like a hawk to notice a posting for it. 3) Be lucky enough to outbid every single other person on your server and post the last bid for it, since again, it will literally sell for the gold cap every time it is posted. Wow, I feel so much better about getting it from the BMAH! It's like someone said, "Hey, you have a malignant tumor, but you can totally put a band-aid on that! High five!"
