Sorry but, it just isnt, the remnant wagon is a comp diff make and model, clearly more inspired by 70s-80s american station wagons (HEAVY buick influence in the Global Motors State Wagon you drive), this is an early 80s volvo 244, as much as i love PD, theres just no way you can rationalize that quick correction, its not global, its radius motors, its listed as 1983 model year in the wiki

+ the game is clearly set around the same time as PD is, since its at a minimum 1992 judging by the aero vic, and is more likely towards the mid 90s, with PD being in 98 theres not really much wiggle room for a volvo 244DL sedan from the 1980s to have turned into a buick Electra mixed with an olds Custom Cruiser

The remnant shenanigans clearly change properties (judging by the paint can for example) but not the actual appearance of stuff, which disqualifies the idea that it would've turned to that, way i see it, it was likely a former researches truck before they had to abandon the zone, leaving it close to the outer wall in hope of getting it out some day, which inevitably led to the moderate state of disrepair you find the car in, it being kept sheltered undoubtedly making it stay in better condition

Going through a weird phase of life with a lot of changes that are both exciting and scary, this game looks just like what I needed, such a good idea for a game, the whole vibe, music, artstyle, they nailed it!
