Keep it or chop it. What would you do with this avocado tree after this summer's heatwave?

A late summer heatwave in San Diego brought temperatures into the triple digits (45deg C). A few avocado trees that are 20+ years old sustained sunburn and sun damage in the past, and it is my belief that these trees are hit harder when new heatwaves arrive. Are these trees worth saving? What would you do?
