In March of 2011, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Prostate Cancer. However, cancer is not a death sentence. Our minds are very powerful and we can choose to focus on the positives rather than the negatives.
As a cancer survivor, I've learned important lessons from networking with other cancer survivors and my own personal experiences. This humbling life changing wake up call has taught me to pray more; think positive thoughts; improve my diet; exercise consistently; seek encouraging and uplifting relationships; be more faithful, hopeful, loving, grateful and thankful for everything; and really take time to heal, rest and pray.
"Keep Living The Dream" is my signature song about living to continue doing the things I still can do. It's important to recognize the opportunities and do them while we can. Activities such as diving, surfing, fishing, playing the ukulele, traveling, etc. were very healing and strengthened my mindset to never give up, share what I could, give back and pay it forward to encourage and inspire others who have been afflicted by cancer.
We don't know how much time we have so make the moments count. Everything is interrelated/interconnected and there is so much more to share so please join me on this ongoing journey to "keep living the dream."
Aloha to all, take care and keep living the dream!
