If the jacks didn't have to go into the holes, then they should have just had a bucket to dump them in. So many factors that went Derrick's way: Continuing playing without repercussion when Horacio was forced to stop picking up jacks because his ball was stuck. Production stepping in to put the jacks back in the holes saving Derrick time whereas Horacio states he had to spend the time to pick up the jacks that fell out and put back in. This just looks really bad and it sucks that they're going to lose arguably the most watched physical character for the new era. Whole thing just sucks.

This man never causes any drama with anyone and maybe that's why they wanted Derrick to stay more then Horacio. I just feel so bad for him cause watching him on his previous seasons you can just tell he is a good guy. I hope he doesn't go back to the challenge not after that. As much as I loved watching him. You do realize this isn't the 1st time this has happened? Look at the flag elimination with Zach. He even walked over after and grabbed it and tried to pull it off. They never switched sides and both teams lost with that flag staying on. The team from exile then re-entered the game.

As much as I get how Horacio feels cheated. I also feel that Derrick deserves some respect for keeping up with him. I know horacio does insane training runs so he really should have smoked derrick in this one. It shouldnt have been so close for him to have to worry about the ball getting stuck for 10 seconds. So I think its hard for horacio to accept a man in his 40s beat him. Lets be real the pegs falling out the holes is an accidental thing. They were still put in the holes so the hard work was done. The weird thing was the editing. They showed Horacio winning & Derricks board had one cross missing. Then suddenly decided Derrick won. It was just confusing. Viewers deserved a better edit & explanantion about how Derrick won.

Great explanation of the elimination and a better understanding of what went down, given all the facts Horacio would've won if not for the midway stoppage that occurred over a stuck ball that allowed Derick to get an extra 2 in, and the help from production putting the pegs back in if they fell only for era 1. Horacio was robbed by production.

Been watching The Challenge everytime it's aired since The Island. I even got my parents into it and we watch it every week and discuss it. This episode was the most disheartening episode I've seen. We're discussing whether or not we continue to watch. It put so much controversy in the air. We all think after seeing the episode, reading and watching player statements...it was fixed for Derrick. I stand by Horacio, Nurys, and any other person saying they are through. As a viewer, I think I am too. 💔

If Horacio was smart he could have used that time the ball was stuck and just collect a shit ton of pegs. You would almost want the ball to get stuck for a little bit. I personally think Horacio won, and even thought he won because if you look at the pace he is going when putting in his last peg, he is actually walking with no urgency. You would only do that when you know you are winning. They should have reset the match, especially if it takes 45 minutes to figure out the winner. Do it so no one feels cheated from a million dollars

@@willm7349 Then you don’t get it. TJ told him to stop and he did not. There were several issues here. Faulty equipment on Horacio’s side. TJ called for a reset and Derrick continued to run yet they told Horacio to wait. Derricks pegs fell out and production would reset for him not not Horacio. You can keep believing this was handled right but it wasn’t. And further the missing peg that Derrick had when time was called. If the rules were to put them anywhere on the board and not in the board why was production helping him when they fell? Why not help Horacio when his fell? He was told to just put them back himself. And if they could go anywhere on the board why not have a bucket? Production fucked up and honestly they don’t deserve to have Horacio on the show. They also screwed him last season when he won that stupid rope challenge. There’s a clear bias and clearly they don’t care about this show anymore. Jordan is on here speaking out trying to make it better and you are on here blaming the victim Horacio. Sure he should have just ignored TJ like Derrick did but someone who has a moral character like Horacio and cares about winning fairly isn’t going to change is character for a TV show.

Because he didn't want to make it too obvious in throwing it. And he did a good job in faking it. Also, he didn't expect it to be a sudden death, because he expected era 2 to answer at least one question correctly after his fall, but they actually answered their remaining 3 questions incorrectly, which led to the sudden death. He didn't expect that.
