Ikr?! Most brands of RVs have too many colour changes. I'm always noticing the mouldings, fascia, etc that I'd paint to blend in, be less "busy". (One of the reasons I like the Brinkleys.)

As a transporter I've noticed that those battery systems greatly reduce your ability to use weight distribution hitches. With a 3/4 ton or bigger maybe not a huge deal but something to consider if you're at the top end of half ton towing capacity

I really like this Cougar travel trailer! I do agree with you on some things Uncle Josh, such as those sofa side windows, they really SHOULD open!!! I LOVE the kitchen sink, very awesome!! 👍🤗👍 The kitchen is extremely well laid out and very functional, NICE!! 🤗 Yes, I agree again with you Uncle Josh about the fireplace, Cougar NEEDS to make the fireplace larger and longer, remove those 2 side panels and extend that fireplace Cougar!! Oh yes!!! Keep the dinette and 4 chairs!! The ONLY way to go! Oh oh, that brings us to the bathroom, oh man Uncle Josh, there's no corner seat 😣!! Well, if Cougar WON'T put one in, I guess that I would have to do without, but, it is very important to have that corner seat! Okay, now for the bedroom, oh my!! First, there is no overhead window that opens, I do LOVE the side windows that does open, thank you Cougar for that!! 👏👏👏👏👏 Now, over to the question about storage or tv, tv is the answer and I do like your imagination about putting the tv up on the inside of the slide, very awesome my friend Uncle Josh!!! 👍🤗👍👏👏👏👏👏 You have done an EXCELLENT job showing this beautiful Cougar travel trailer, I can see us having fun here!!

We actually just bought one of these. Picking it up in a few days. It was definitely the best TT we saw when we were shopping for a new one to replace our 2006 Crossroads Bel Air. We found the 33RLI about 7 months ago and we just couldn't work out a good deal. Interest rates are still high but the camper is now almost $20k cheaper than the best they offered back then.

Theater seats lose storage capacity. I like the partial/convertible jackknife sofa with the fold down center console. I think he calls these simulated cinema seats.

@@andystewart1580 I grew up with my parents having a 1980s Bounder and I like how much space was under the dinette without drawers (lots of room for cases of drinks) and the jackknife sofa with plenty of room under it for my violin. I think we stored my dad's guitar in a case there too, I don't remember. I know we sometimes took a keyboard for my mom to play piano too, but I don't think we put that under the couch.

Nice trailer but the tongue weight would be getting pretty high once loaded. And are those tank pull handles as long and low to the ground as they look or is it just the camera angle? Looks like a bit of accidental sideways pressure might cause some problems there.

Oh for sure. It's a fifth wheel sized RV with weights to match. I'm not sure if the RV was leveled so can't say for sure on the tank pull clearances

Love this layout. Great space with a king bed and auto level. This is our current 5th wheel layout. No auto level is deal breaker for me and I'm one of those guys with the bad knees.

*W/D SETUP?* Yeah this is setup for a combo *WEIGHTS?* The empty weight shown is no battery/propane/water. It's empty. Anything you add to the RV including battery, water, etc is all factored against the available cargo capacity

Labeling something as half ton capable like this is just really sad. Almost no trucks are available with enough payload for it. It's not just Keystone - Grand Design and Rockwood are also particularly bad about it. Otherwise good brands, but they need to get their messaging in check for safety's sake.

You won't hear me argue with that first sentence. I've talked about it in previous videos. "Cougar Half Ton" is the name of the series and shouldn't be taken as a vehicle recommendation I know GD uses the "150" phrasing on some of their fifth wheels but when does Rockwood do anything like that? They use the word "Ultralite" on some of their models but I can't recall them really indicating a vehicle suggestion. But maybe I missed something?

@@JoshtheRVNerd ah you are right about Rockwood - they don't indicate anything as half-ton. I was wrong - perhaps got my wires crossed. Though....I do find it ironic that the Mini Lite is smaller than the Ultra Lite. That's more of a quirk than anything that would lead to confusion on a safety issue. Keystone Cougar Half Ton and Grand Design Reflection 150 Series - those are the big offenders I'm aware of. Great trailers, bad names.

Where cougars really lack is the outdoor storage. The passthrough is tiny. For the size/weight and cargo capacity there’s better options.

Does the lithium ion batteries have an interior heating pad or are they lithium ion fosphate batteries which are more cold temperatures resistant? Lithium ion batteries can't have the temperatures go too low. Moth

I have owned many rvs over the years. How do you define what a couples model is. I first consider the weight that my truck will pull. Then I look at the floor plan. I worry that some buyers may steer away from those model or versa. My last rv was an grand design reflection 337 and that was a very comfortable couples model. Fyi

Typically most RVs either have bunks or they dont. RVs lacking bunks are commonly referred to as "Couple's Campers" but that's not a hard distinction. There are all sorts of shades between for sure

I am giddy , waiting for the July Industry Update video...... This TT is basic 5th wheel 101 floor plan on one level. I can not imagine how ruff that bumper tow TT would be at 37 feet long even with a fancy Weight distributing hitch. Cargo capacity is low. King bed is awesome!

They build a trailer like that and the storage doors don’t even have slam latches. Also the from storage opening is so small. If you were to add the needed cargo your hitch weight would be close to 1150-1300 lbs yikes

Not that I could actually justify buying one of these mobile mansions, but If I were lying on the bed, I don’t think I’d be watching television. If I were watching television, I think I’d be, at the very least, propped up, part way between lying and sitting. Having a bedroom television on the drawers rather than up high would be ideal, assuming it can travel that way and doesn’t need to be hauled in and out of storage all the time.

I would first briefly offer that no mainstream towable is truly Four Seasons/Any Weather But of those rated 0-100 degrees... • Northwood/Outdoors RV are well, WELL respected but harder to find as you move further from Oregon • Grand Design has a generally well respected reputation • Eagles are also well respected (a jayco brand) • And Cougar has done a fantastic job improving themselves in that regard BUT... the hard fact here is there is no independent source doing any sort of "quality scale rating system" or anything on these. I wish there was
