I've used oftenly your products that including Devastator-series. These products are so useful for making powerful percussive rythms, appreciate for your dealing with it.

Perfect pace and review thanks. So much better than the examples on the Keep-Forest site and Soundcloud, as you took the time to explain how each page works and the functions. This makes it worth the price tag which I'll admit I have been pondering over. I downloaded the Warzone free version and was surprised as to how many good sounds it had on it just to give you a taste. It even had a reverse sound I have been craving after, and all for free. Thanks again, great review and I guess I am going to be £359 less better off by end of today :)

cheers Paul, glad it was helpful. Yep the Warzone free version is surprisingly full featured for a taster pack! Hope you get on with Breakout, it covers the action/hybrid trailer cue sound very well.

@@WilliamMorrisMusic very excited to try it ! Then just need to work out the mastering element of trailer tracks which should be interesting :-) but that’s a way off

Nice review; thanks! By the way, do you know what are the major differences between Warzone, Deathmatch and Breakout Pro? Because they all sound very similar to me!
@WilliamMorrisMusic2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I only have Warzone and Breakout so I can't speak to Deathmatch but yes the differences between the 'Devastator' series aren't massive, more like alternate flavours. They have similar sound categories as they are all trailer tool kits. Each one tends to have a handful of more unique patches then some crossover with the other libraries. If I could only have one it would be Breakout though. Hope that helps!

Ah, ok! Cheers! Yes, I’ve watched a few other walkthroughs and so far I think the first version (Industrial toolkit) and Deathmatch are probably closer to what I like. Warzone seems aggressive but not as atmospheric, but I could be wrong. So it’s either the first version + Deathmatch or Breakout for me. Still on the fence. Let’s see what Black Friday deals KF has (starting 18th Nov, this year(2022)). Anyhow, good luck with your writing and thanks again for this great review and for responding to my comment!

@@dallastakitimu cheers Dallas, yep KF usually do some decent sales for BF. I think they still do a free version of most of their libraries so it might be worth checking those out to see which you prefer.

I know this is an old video but I am hoping you will respond. I am trying to justify buying this, but even on sale, this feels like massively overpriced sample pack. This doesn't seem to have any more content than a $30 - $50 sample pack. Please, What are we paying the extra for?
@WilliamMorrisMusicАй бұрын
Its tricky without knowing what you're comparing it to. I'd be surprised if there's much out there that has the same amount of content at a similar quality level for under $50 though. BF pricing might make something else a better fit though depending on how much of this library you're likely to use.

I want to love Keepforest, but all their sample sound so campy to me. I much prefer Ava or Heavyocity for more real sounding trailer sounds.
@WilliamMorrisMusic2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I could make a direct comparison between KF and Heavyocity as the latter to my mind doesn't really do trailer toolkit libraries, more hybrid orchestral libraries such as the excellent Damage (1&2) or Symphonic Destruction. AVA also makes some great trailer toolkits and yeah I'd agree that theirs maybe favour the more organic side of things. KF leans more towards hyrbid and genre crossover stuff which is perfect for aggressive action / sound design styles as well as trailerized hip-hop/pop etc. If you're into the more organic side of things maybe check out KF Vikings, its definitely their most acoustic offering. Also worth a look is stuff from Mammoth Audio although I'd say their main offering Density leans more towards organic horror.
