I know this was recorded years ago but I could really feel Clare's distress at times . I really felt she needed a hug. She is so engaging and genuine

This video is such a delight! I bought Clare's book, Keeping a Nature Journal, in 2001 when I started watching and sketching birds at my feeder. I have added many more books to my collection over the years, including A Year in Nature, a Memoir of Solace. So much of it resonates with me and feeds my nature loving soul. I love her authenticity in this interview, especially in sharing how difficult things are for her now. My heart goes out to her. Thank you Bethan, for bringing Clare Walker Leslie to a new generation of nature journalers.

This was a great conversation. So happy you let her talk freely. Most interviewers cut the guest off with more questions. Enjoyed it very much. Keep up the great work.

I feel like I just had my morning coffee with two lovely friends. Thank you! I love the idea of “daily exceptional images” and “chain of joys” Your stories and knowledge of nature journaling have inspired me. Good health and happiness to you and yours.

that's what I find, too - It's like stepping into the outside world when you want to be there but can't.

That was simply amazing, Bethan. I'm not a nature journal person but I did spend much of my life as a PhD in evolutionary biology. I sketch a lot but more often than not I'm drawing people or architecture. But I love Claire Walker and have several of her books. I've also got John Muir Laws books and a bunch of other natural history books related to nature journaling. Maybe you'll turn me into a nature journal guy :-) Thanks for all you do.
