I used X-Acto knives for years making art cards and mattes for broadcast graphics. Not once did I think they could be sharpened… they were treated as just another consumable. I’ve got a 360 and a 600 CBN wheel that are gathering dust cause my son was going to make knives… maybe those and a leather strop would work for my X-Acto blades… I like your system though… sure is a lot cheaper than 2 CBN wheels 😂! I did have some concern with the water from your 400 grit wheel so close to the open motor. (Electricity terrifies me!) Thanks Glenn. Great video.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I bet those CBN wheels would work just fine if you can slow them down. I also thought of those blades as consumables, but Randy Letkeman showed me a trick to sharpen them and then I made this sharpener and realized that I could drastically improve the sharpness of an original new blade. So cheaper and better! I never thought about the water and the open motor. I am using very little water, but that is a good point that you have. Perhaps aluminum tape over the open holes? That might be the solution. Thanks again for your continued support. It means a lot to me.
