I found Jonathan’s incredible song and video when I started learning and recovering from being the family scapegoat for 50+, long years. This song was and is so empowering for me, I can’t say enough… Today I decided to do a mild, therapeutic experience. I love Shiitake mushrooms, anyone else? Anyway, at the peak of my mild, therapeutic experience, this song popped into my head with a GO- LISTEN-NOW sense of urgency. I left the guided experience video and OMG - Good call! “Always go with it,” they say, “don’t resist.” I sobbed happy joy, I smiled, I sang along like no one was listening-hands in the air, I pounded my chest for strength, I listened to it eyes closed for about 3 rounds and somewhere in there, I felt a strong presence of my deceased sister. She was also scapegoated and died too early at 40. I immediately told her I felt her. I spoke to her out loud. I cried loads more joyful tears. It and felt like we were together again, in spirit, I felt and accepted the strength of two into my heart while listening to this song. A truly wonderful experience. Coming back from my experience I decided to find a video with lyrics to read along. The first one was a little annoying as there were so many missed lyrics. I searched and found this one. The first and second go through I flinched on a few things, but o.k.. pretty good. The 3rd time through it hit me, the changes are introspective and meant to be that way, leaving all of this more about you/us and less about them. It’s crazy how many perspectives there are. The first time ever hearing it I thought Jonathon sang “Those nasty bees, keep tempting me…” In this one “Piece” is used which I interpreted POS in a spectrum of ways. Another interpretation is “those nasty fields which I also like.” Lord I love this song! Thank you for this. Some of the lyrics applied I had no idea and they hit my heart like BAM, and made me cry. I felt the same when I first heard this song. I believe our hearts have always been strong, we just have to focus that strength on ourselves and not on people who have proven they don't deserve our time, energy or focus. I'd like to mention that Jonathan Roy is the Son of Patrick Roy, Ex-Goaler in the NHL for the Montreal Canadiens (1984-95, won the stanley cup in 1986 and 1993) and the Colorado Avalanche (1996-2003, won the stanley cup again in 1996 and in 2001), formerly head coach and now vice-president of hockey operations of the Colorado Avalanche. I don't know, but it seems talent, whichtever the type, runs in that family.

This song is amazing!!! It's even more fun when you play around with the play back speed. My suggestion: Start off normal till you speed it up to 1.25 at 1:40 then back to normal at 3:07 then speed back up at 3:44. It's awesome!

I listen to this to put myself on a pedestal for 4 minutes and 52 seconds. To help me seek my way through my past. Mt father was a horrible citizen. You don’t always need something bad to happen to you for you to be affected... it can happen before your eyes and it still affects you. At the time what he did, i was oblivious to. Now that I’m growing and getting much older- they’re coming back to me in dreams and flashbacks. I’m not sure why they’re here... but it is.
