My faith is never shaken by any minister's scandals, I was a very big supporter of Jimmy Swaggart back in the 80s when he failed not once but twice, my faith was still strong, and while I still listened to his teachings, I do not worship Swaggart. I do not follow ministries or ministers, The Holy Spirit guides me. The most important advice that I have for everyone reading this is that no matter how the outcome Of Mike Bickle or anyone in leadership who is involved in a scandal. do not let it destroy your faith in God or fellowship with others, they are only humans who also have flaws, no one is perfect and everyone can be restored or forgiven after they repent. I was called in as one of several witnesses in a similar Matthew 18 proceeding for a large church. A third party was brought in to investigate. It was the best thing that church could have done. My heart is blessed in the midst of the fire to see this. If ever there were an example of a huge issue being walked out in the spirit of Jesus' comments on relational conflict in Matthew 18, I think I'm seeing it happen right here. I weep simultaneously for joy at the beauty of it, and in grief over its rarity. The thrust of Jesus' teaching was restoration, not fragmentation; and that's the heart I see on exhibit here. I pray that this will be walked out in such purity and righteousness that, in the end, all involved will be made whole in beautifully restored fellowship in Christ Jesus; that the outworking of this painful, complex process will redound to His great glory, and that it will become such a wellspring of hope that many deeply wounded hearts will find courage to -- at long last -- trade their secret horrors for full restoration in Christ Jesus. Wow what an eye opener had to listen to this several times. I too was a victim of sexual abuse as a child and our minister got kicked out for molesting little girls. But no one ever talked to me about any of it. That led to a whole bunch of sexual assaults.I am sure with what has come down with the Southern Baptist church church and with what happened with Hillsong that this is an epidemic and the bible says that judgement starts in the house of the Lord first. Yes let this be a start of him breaking up the fallow ground of our wicked roots of pride and self love instead of loving him with our whole heart. Amen Lord we have to get right with God before we can expect the world to change their story. Come Holy Spirit. Praise God that you had the right leadership to not let this swept under the rug like other church ministers who did the pride thing of denial. Like what we see on the news every day. I love the spirit of how you addressed this whole issue and I think with him leading a fasting and prayer deal for Israel made the Devil mad as hell. But its also good to not make the victims

It seems that Mike has stepped down from all forms of leadership and ministry, yet still calling all the shots in the background. I pray God will expose all of the truth and let no darkness remain hidden in Jesus's name. Whether Mike comes out innocent or guilty, the Church at large and ministries have had unholy, strange, and confusing mixture that failed to create healthy and safe communities for God's people to fully thrive and grow. I know God has worked many good things despite people's weaknesses and sin, but now more than ever, Jesus wants to purify the Church and bring forth a pure and spotless Bride. And purity means transparency and vulnerability with no secret things hidden in darkness to preserve a ministry or minimize damage to its reputation. Jesus deserves better than leaders being idolized and put on a pedestal. So I do wonder what Jesus would say to IHOP and its leadeship if He were to speak as He did to the Seven Churches in Revelation. I do pray for mercy, but true conviction involves exposure so may God bring it no matter how painful it is and what it costs.

I appreciate the sincerity of the leadership team in involving a secular (i assume) law firm. ...I am concerned that scriptures advice on this may be undermined thus depriving tge process of the divine grace that ought to be present . Nonetheless I trust Yahweh for mercy in this matter as His heart is for IHOP, its people and leadership. 1 Corinthians 6:3-5 New Living Translation 3 Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. 4 If you have legal disputes about such matters, why go to outside judges who are not respected by the church? 5 I am saying this to shame you. Isn’t there anyone in all the church who is wise enough to decide these issues?

What we know is that at an unspecified time, the men with allegations approached Mike. A period of time later, these men approached the leadership team. On October 26th, the leadership team asked Mike to step down. On October 28th, the men with allegations published their statement. Then on October 29th, IHOP leadership made their first public statement. According to Allen Hood on his instagram, he reports not knowing of any of these allegations/testimonies until very recently.

I am extremely curious as to why all of this is being publicized or even placed on KZbin. A brother within a SPECIFIC ministry has been accused of failure. It seems it should be an INHOUSE problem and not brought before so many that aren't intimately involved and unbelievers. For those that are closely connected then treat the issue as you believe Jesus would(WWJD). Teach those that have been deeply hurt by that which may have taken place that their devotion and loyalty should be towards Christ and only Christ? Teach them how to grow up and stop TRUSTING IN MAN. When Swaggart failed, I loved him deeply but when I heard the news, what came to my mind was that, JUST ANOTHER HUMAN THAT HAPPENS TO BE A CHRISTIAN HAS FAILED. My love didn't change one iota for him. As a matter of fact I became one of his top defenders, disputing and debating with many Assembly of God constituents, including some within the hierarchy of the denomination. When I finally met Swaggart having never met him before and sharing my name with him, Swaggart said, I KNOW YOU. There was only one way that he could have been familiar with my name, it had to have been mentioned that there is a man named Clyde Clymer who is defending you fiercely. Did I make an attempt to minimize Swaggart's guilt, NOT AT ALL but I was more interested in MERCY, RESTORATION AND REESTABLISHING HIS INITIMACY WITH GOD.. I believe the same should take place in this instance. Mike is human, may have blown it, there are victims obviously but how can all of this work for the good of all? Christians should not make a big ordeal over this even though it is for some. Brothers and Sisters learn to just pray and if you are in a position to reestablish an enviormennt prior to eating the fruit then be a fervent asset in that realm. And again Saints, let's be mature in the things of God. Minimize the drama and let's pursue initimacy with Jesus and love on one another...AMEN!!!
