A funny film, as I recall. Two quibbling points ... 1) The bar mitzvah doesn't look ANYTHING like the parents. Adopted? 2) When a b'nai mitzvah chants from the Torah or Haftarah (sorry, I still get them confused), he/she wouldn't look up. Your eyes are focused downward on the written words.

I find that Ed Norton has an ego. He loves to hear his own voice and it shows through. I think he also overacts.

This scene is a technical error in the movie. If the boy's Bar Mitzvah is indeed reading this portion, which is the beginning of Genesis, then it would be just after the fall Jewish holidays, which would place the Yom Kippur Climax a while year later, which is clearly not the plot intent.

Who gives a damn if this is copyright. I wouldn't bother making a copy of such a terrible film anyway. It's bad because of Ed Norton. Otherwise this would've been a great film. Thanks to Ed Norton, this Rabbi/Priest joke isn't funny.
