I’ve been doing the clean mama for a few weeks now and have enjoyed the process. The one thing I constantly fall off on is the daily laundry. I ordered the planner this year and look forward to continuing her very easy guide to cleaning and maintaining my home. I enjoyed your video and was sad to see that you haven’t continued with more on the clean mama routine. Thank you for sharing your clean mama experience, home, and family.

Thanks for the video! I started Clean Mama about a year ago, but got off track in the summer/fall as the garden came on and through soccer season. I have to say, though, that the daily habits were instilled well enough that there is a notable change from this year to last. Now that we’re in a slower season, I’m getting back on track with weekly tasks and bigger projects. Thanks for the camaraderie today!

Try a pumice stone on the black ring in commode it worked good on ours

Yep, it's all about the pumice stone. They make ones with a handle to help get a better angle for that task.

The black at the top is mold built up in the rinse channel. Pour about 1/2 gal white vinegar to the center tube in the tank and let it sit about an hour, then flush. That will clean it out.

I have been using Clean Mama since the start of the pandemic. My house has never been cleaner for the little time that this cleaning method requires. The more you use it the faster cleaning goes. I now do Saturday's work on other days of the week. My weekends are spent with my family.

Really liking your videos - just found you! I’m trying to decide between Clean Mama and Fly Lady. Honestly will probably be a combo of the two. I like them both! Thanks for showing the planner. I had been wondering about it. The under the rim toilet stains - I JUST finally got rid of mine after a ton of trial and error! What finally worked for me was soaking paper towels in CLR, cramming them up under the rim, letting it sit for a few minutes, and then they scrubbed off pretty easily just using the same paper towels. I did end up doing the paper towels a second time right after, but my toilet is finally sparkling! I saw some comments online that vinegar paper towels work, too, but had to be left overnight. I was impatient and the CLR was so fast! A pumice stone also worked on the stains lower down in the bowl, but I couldn’t seem to get up under the rim with it. I had those stains in my toilets for years and they drove me nuts, so I was soooo excited to find something that actually worked. 😁😁😁 I was starting to think I was just going to need new toilets!

Thank you so much!! You're welcome! It's all about finding the pieces of each plan that works for you. Oh thank you for sharing because I have tried so many things but still haven't gotten those stains off! Will definitely have to try that!!

I used to call it “mopping” but now I call it “washing”, when I started following CM is when I changed it. 🤣🤣 I also use those airtight containers! I’m folding my 1 load of laundry right now as I’m watching you! Thank you!

What is the white and blue thing on the bath taps?

Everytime I see people taking a basket full of towels and washcloths to the washer, I just shake my head. Here is my thought every time... if you do a proper job in bathing and washing your hair each day, or whenever you shower or bathe, your body SHOULD be squeaky clean when you get out, correct? Why don't folks save a LOT of energy and time washing a fresh towel... or two, for each person every time they shower? My entire married life of over 30 years, each person in our family had their OWN bath towel. When the kids were younger it was a nice beach towel that they used to take their bath or shower with, and my husband and I have a large bath sheet. At the end of the week it goes in the wash with our weekly laundry and starts all over again. I have seen other family members with a family of 3-4, having 2-3 baskets of JUST towels and washcloths ONLY... sitting in their living room waiting to be folded and put away on the weekends. I don't get it? We recently received two microfiber towels in bath sheet size.... and all I can say is WOW!! Talk about getting your long hair dry quickly as well as your body!! And they are super soft. I know what I am getting my grown kids for a special Christmas gift this year!

Depending on how often you shower or the season, once a week is fine or not enough. In winter it's perfectly fine, in summer the warmth itself will make the moist towels smell faster. Don't forget even though you're clean, there might be soap scum and dead skin cells in the towels. Nothing you need a fresh towel over every single time, but a reason some people might need to change their towel more often than others.

I take all the to let water out of the toilet and turn the water off. I pour white vinegar in my toilet and let it sit
@susannebrule3160 Жыл бұрын
And then I put baking soda in toiet and scrub often I leave it in over night because I have 2 restrooms and it is so white and clean you could drink out of it. (Just kidding 😂 ) if your tolet is very dirty do it until it clean. I like it to because there's know harsh chemical smell.

Make sure, when cleaning the toilet, you clean under the rim. The toilet can't stay clean unless that is taken care of. Just trying to help.
@spoonfulofashley2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately that problem was created by the previous home owners. Trying to resolve it but unfortunately simply cleaning it isn't fixing the issue.
@amberpryor222 жыл бұрын
@@spoonfulofashley is it a hard water issue? You can use clr and a scraper. If it is hard water, you can run a small amount of clr in the tank. The best thing to do is turn off the valve and empty the water and then do the clr, let it sit and then attack with a scraper or hard bristle brush. Just be careful it doesnt scratch.
