I understand Khloe. I felt so guilty for being a little disappointed in finding out my baby's gender was not what I had been convinced it was. I knew that it really made no difference to the way I'd care for it and I felt really selfish for a long time. However, people need to try not to point fingers so quickly. Sometimes we just get a certain idea of how things will be and it can be hard to let go of that---I don't feel like that should be shamed as taking the pregnancy for granted. I love my baby regardless of my initial shock and though I sympathize with those struggling with fertility, it isn't okay for anyone to police other's feelings

My mom swears I was going to be a boy and got the shock of her life when she got a girl. Doesn't mean she loves me any less, it just took her a minute to get over not having a boy.

but its also true that so many couples get disappointed. Some people plan their lives to a tee and are so set on it it throws them off when it isnt exactly what they wanted. She'll obviously loving having a daughter now she knows shes having one but i totally get the initial shock. So so many parents get that way-guys when its not a boy or mums when they already have 3 boys. People often do hope for one more than the other, they just dont necessarily say out loud. Its just human to feel what you feel regardless of how lucky you are

When I was pregnant I was 150% certain I was having a boy. ALL of the old wives tales pointed to a boy & I had dreams that it was a boy. I felt deep down in my soul that this baby was a boy....then I found out at 20 weeks that we were having a girl. I was shocked to say the least. You go 20 weeks believing something & then the doctor is like “haha nope!”. I had to literally say “we’re having a daughter” to my fiancé like 20 times a day for 2 days before I started believing it myself. So I totally understand Khloé’s reaction.

I would say that Khloé was a jerk about her gender reveal but my husband and I had the same stunned reaction both times they told us we were having a girl. Better to find out at 10 or 12 weeks and get used to the idea then find out at the birth when emotions are totally high.
