sad to see Chealtham heading back on a display at York but least i got to see her in action back 2022 with unlucky tug a day i rember for a long time coming

Cheltenham 😢😢😢 gone to be stuffed and mounted. Lovely loco to ride behind, got a long trip now to get that pleasure but it was good while it lasted❤❤

Wish I'd had the chance to see Cheltenham in steam. Hopefully Repton or Stowe will pay a visit at some point after their overhauls.

Sad to see Cheltenham go to York, but its for the best. At least she's in a good place. Watching Canadian Pacific's boiler in boil is a good counter to Cheltenham's departure. Seems the railway's getting ready for the Diesel Gala. And as for those university students' videos, how about providing a link to their videos? We would like to see those. And all those restoration work... good progress indeed! I've watched this video right after watching #LouisianaRailProduction's latest video about Canadian Pacific Railway #2816's return run to Calgary from her rather wild trip to Mexico as part of CPKC's Final Spike Tour. Imagine that, watching boiler work on a steam locomotive named Canadian Pacific right after watching a video about a Canadian Pacific steam locomotive...

Intersting to hear about the expansion of the boiler when in steam....how much would the boiler be expected to expand under normal conditions ?

It’s a shame the Can Pac boiler can’t be reunited with its frames back at Eastleigh works for the rebuild to be completed there, as the boiler is now to heavy to be transported back across Campbell Road bridge at Eastleigh.
