Im guessing you close the front flap down at night as well as the side entrance? Im not a fan of the chicken wire floor. You can achieve the same goal with using a plywood floor and have added safety.

well,, i see your point but,,,, but........... plywood will absorb filth,, liquids and nasty stuff. its a variable which will rot and would require the coop to be taken down in order to repair. My chicken wire is replaceable from the underside and it is supported with bamboo every 6'' lengthways. i do see your point but when i throw leaves on top,, and wtih the wire being supported,, its basically a floor that wont rot out but will support the weight of the chickens but not actually be to easy for predators to break in. i thought long and hard about the floor by the way . I wanted some degree of ventilation for summer time yet not be hard to clean. I agree with you in may ways because from what i gather from experineced people,, chickens do not appreciate or like "drafts". the coop stays very warm in the winter and really cool in the summer. Yes i close the end and side doors at night. I want to invent a way to leave the side door open at night with a section of custom chainlink fencing along the side door opening so they can enjoy the warm nights during summer. i would call this "chicken enrichment. happy chickens lay eggs.

The name of your channel is “I fix it all.” Please start with your chicken house. It might work fine but it looks awful and there is something to be said for a decent looking structure.
