Hi hon,looking forward to review on humidifier. I'm in a cold and draughty old cottage in Edinburgh. Hi there, been loving your videos. Have watched nearly all of them since yesterday. Your home looks lovely, little tropical paradise. Just thought you would like to know I was in Ikea yesterday and bought a couple of beautiful Calathea plants around about knee high and only £9 each. One of them is the velvet type with the red underside and the other the medallion type. Maybe worth you paying a visit before they are all gone. Looking forward to more uploads.

You have such beautiful healthy plants😍 I also am using pink sun neem oil and soap to treat spider mites. How frequently did you spray your plants with the neem oil mix to get rid of spider mites? I hear different recommendations on this such as every 3 days/ 5 days/ 10days which has left me confused. These bugs have me very stressed out! 😭

Love the picture over the sink. I'm curious and I don't mean to pry, but I was wondering if the Ivy toward the ceiling is real. I only ask because it is absolutely stunning and frames it all out so well. I would like to do that over my kitchen sink as well, but I have never had any luck with Ivy. I know they need to be misted and I'm wondering if they are real, how do you accomplish that with the electric lights entwined around them. Thank you for you advice in advance. Keep the videos coming
@TropicalPlantAddict6 жыл бұрын
The ivy is the only artificial plant in my kitchen, I wrapped it with the fairy lights :-) I could put a golden pothos up there though as I think that would look nice. Kind of running out of room! Hope you like the new plant tour I just uploaded :-)

You have a lovely tropical garden. A-mazing job for info to over winter the tropicals 🌴🌺. Can you give me any tips for my Rex begonia. It has droopy leaves. Looks okay, I’m trying not to overwater. I did have him in a bright window, so that may be the cause. Should I cut off the big droopy leaves 😢, I read that they never bounce back so chop them off 😪.

Thank you for the videos 💜🌸🌺
@TropicalPlantAddict6 жыл бұрын
Hanalei Designs Thanks! Hmm I’d probably cut the leaves off if they are yellow/crispy etc. Droopy doesn’t sound so bad though! Is your Begonia staked? I only have my maculata which likes bright light and high humidity, seems to be doing well. My other one I had in the garden I’m over-wintering in the shed, I just chopped it right back

I wish I can have all those beautiful plants. I live in Florida. I have the air unit all day long. All my plants die inside the house. Even the hard to kill plants. Not sure if it's the lighting. But definitely it has to be that it is not humid enough. 😟

Very helpful video. You mentioned not to repot during winter however, I have a peace lily I recently acquired and when I checked the roots are growing significantly out the drainage holes. Should I leave it like that until spring or can I repot him at this time of the year without causing any issues to the plant?

Thank you for the video. I watched videos on overwintering Cannas and it seems that some people pot them up in soil and others put them in paper bags like you suggested. I am confused which is the best method. What advice could you offer me. I also have two dwarf Cavendish bananas I have chopped of a couple of leaves and noticed that a few of the leaves have black spots on them and are going brown around the edges. The temperatures have been about 12 degrees at night, so I am not sure what is going on or what to do. I have just started out with tropical gardening and I feel completely lost because I don’t know what I am doing.
@TropicalPlantAddict6 жыл бұрын
I’d bring the bananas in. If it gets below 5 degrees Celsius at night it can kill them. You can do either with cannas, I don’t have the room to store them in soil which is why I went for the other method.
