I don't wear a monitoring sensor. I'm thankful for videos like these that serve to remind me that I can still lead an active and full life despite my diabetes. Thanks for you this video series and all your home improvement tips over the years.

Lol, never knew it was called a slip layer! I do this with kinesiotape, because strapping tape rips my skin off. I usually use a reversed layer of the k tape to form the slip layer, but I reckon waxed paper is a better idea. I'm going to try that! I've not pulled a sensor off yet, but I don't swim much. Sometimes my k tape lasts nearly the entire 2 weeks, despite attending aikido classes which involve lots of sweating and enthusiastic arm pins...... In fact, I sometimes really struggle to remove the sensor after 2 weeks.

G'day Rob! Loving your T1D Tales videos! Quick question - I'm learning to surf in the next few days and just wondering what your routine is with your sugars before surfing? I'm on a pump and also have the Freestyle Libre. Hope to hear back from you!
