ok ok ! I get it they are pheasants not peacocks 😂 Hope you all enjoy this adventure it certainly was a fun one with lots to overcome, but getting out there at this time of the year is the time i enjoy the most. And that storm was absolutely beautiful with lightning lighting up the sky, never quite managed to point the camera in the right direction to catch that epic Fork lightning though 🤦‍♂ Enjoy the adventure !

Visited Wales for a week last July and wanted to see more of the country.. Found your bikepacking videos and I am totally hooked on taking the Adventures with you. I feel like of "one of the guys" you speak to in every video. I not a cyclist, nor of the age to pick up the sport up, yet you bring the ride to the viewer so clearly. Most of all, your positive attitude impacts the heart and soul. Your title is so aptly stated. I finally subscribe today after watching this one. What a statement of your will and the reinforcement behind the drive to see the bright side in any situation! You probably never heard of Peace Pilgrim, a women who walked the USA several times over, but you embody her spirit without being preachy. Love your efforts, thanks for giving such great positive reinforcement, great footage to watch as you do all the hard work, love the music choices and I will keep on journeying with you. Cheers! And again THANK YOU,

Huge respect for finishing that ride Josh, not many would have kept going in those conditions. By the way those peacocks were pheasants, Lol

Certainly, the small inclusion of maps as well various locations / towns, on the route, that show where you are each time really helps. Having ridden some of the routes (in parts - or near by) it is great to know where you are, as you make progress each day. Keep it going..... :-) Fantastic.

Great effort. I was thinking of something similar: The Great chalk way onto the Rebellion way then train home.... Not in November though! That looked like it hurt.

That looked like a real challenge at the end Josh. Welldone for completing the joureny. I know the Ridgeway Nr Swindon well as that is where I live, I'm often up there riding my bike:) I am hoping to do some bike packing adventures in the Winter but not sure what to expect regarding mud and if the bike will cope. It will be a learning curve:) Thanks Sandy

Well done, pretty epic ride. I think the Peacocks were in fact Pheasants! Peacocks are pretty rare in woods and are only usually found in the grounds of Manor houses and the like. ;-)

Watching you describe that section across Salisbury plain I started getting flashbacks😅. I remember it well, definitely type 2 fun. The winds across there are savage. Although the terrain doesn’t look too taxing on paper in reality it can be a real challenge

Loved this one!Epic ride and one I will be taking on myself! That last day looked horrendous. Is that the same route as the Old Chalk Way? The bridleways in Dorset weren't up to much when I rode from home (Winchester) to Lyme on the Wessex Ridgeway. Paul's Knob🤣🤣🤣 . Maybe you could plan a route visiting all the Knobs😄

What an epic ride. I was out the weekend of these storms camping in the new forest and had to bail in the middle of the night. Wish I was filming it as would’ve been a great video to watch! It was just supposed to be a relaxing one for me, but a tree under half a mile from where I was camping got struck by lightening and I thought that was my sign to pack up. Plus it was 50mph winds so probably wouldn’t have slept much anyway 😂 Loved this video. A good long slog in to a headwind all the way.

@@KeepSmilingAdventures yes I love camping out in a storm, but this time I felt a little exposed. Watching lightening as long as it’s not striking close is so nice

Your bike handlebars? Jones H-Bar or Thule? That weather was though. I would have started to hotel/motel/credit 💳 it. I'm a old hiker. Getting wet for days is not fun. Thank you for taking us along. Ride On!

Well done amazing achievement. Such a great video very motivational . I am very interested in trying parts of the iknield way as I live in Bedford about 20 miles away from Luton. Looking at your video it looks like you ride a continuous trail is this the case or is there parts of roads connecting bits of the trail. I am thinking of picking up trail around pegston which near Luton then going across to Paul's knob . Or maybe just to Dunstable downs then loop back to Bedford to make a days ride. Can you recommend a website that maybe has the GPS route on it? Look forward to hearing from you soon many thanks paul. Looking forward to watching more of your videos soon .
