Cymba. I'm sure she's an ex-Langstone boat. We used to have a fleet of Sharpies at Langstone where they suited our local conditions too. Over the years the fleet was 'acquired' by these chaps from the east coast and now we have none. Fab boats to look at, a friend says that they don't sail like most racing dinghies. But whatever you do, don't ever volunteer to lift one from it's trailer to launching trolley. They are sooo heavy you'll understand why the Australians developed the 'lightweight Sharpie'... :-)

In Australia, the Lightweight Sharpie is more common now (fibreglass, straight mast, 3 crew, trapeze).

I have an lnterlake, made to sail the great lakes. hard chine and about the same dimensions. massive 200sq. ft. sails. been in the garage about 20 years now. my wife asks every so often "when are going to get rid of it?" NEVER. "I'm going to sell it when you die!" deal!

Is this the best sailing vlog in all of Britain? I think so. Certainly worth a tap of a paypal button over on the KTL website www.keepturningleft.co.uk/ Pop over and drop a few sheckles in the hat to keep more of this coming. You'll be glad you did.
