Ara is brilliant and a family friend. My late dad, Nishan, also played the oud in an Armenian band, and was truly amazed by Ara's amazing talent and musicality. Bravo, Ara.

I think it modulates between -at least- two. I think one is in the Ussak group, generally. This sounds like nearly a composition, and so it’s full of changes all over. Dance tunes and folk melodies are easier to identify. And learn.

we have a lot of armenians living in Turkey since the begin of the seljuk and ottoman eras. Your comment has no point. I can list up a couple of armenian descended turkish artists and musicans we are listening to. Armenians outside of Turkey are mostly butthurts and try to make hate between the peoples like you.

Ottoman doesn't just mean Turkish, Armenians also played a big role in ottoman life, a big enough role for the Turks to want to kill us. But before all of that we were proud ottoman citizens

@@hasnabreg1105 Our Armenians were not citizens per se, but subjects of the sultan. Ottoman Empire was just that, an empire, not a state nor a country but a grouping of countries/eyalets and late in empire, villayets/provinces.

agree too many oriental embellishments.Armenian music like out architecture has structure and does not get into too many superficial embellishments which are common in Islamic ornamental arts architecture and music.

@@hasnabreg1105 lol you revolted against the Turks with the support of the russians so you attacked unprotected turkish villages and murdered the villagers while dreaming about greater armenia. But in the end russians gave you no greater armenia. they just used you to seperate Turkey and Azerbaijan from each other with giving you the zengezur corridor. russians even used you armenians to make trouble in Central Asia Turkestan. Armenians always lying about history lol. #stoparmenianlies #dontbelievearmenia #armenianterrorists #dashnaktsutyunisterrorism #asalaisterrorism

Too many oriental embellishments. There is very little Armenian music in it. Ara is great player but at heart this is not Armenian music.

Ruben Sahakian Actually you are right. This is not oriental music at all. Actually this is mostly byzantian music that spread all of Anatolia. Turks took Byzantian music and they turned music into maqam music.
