Kefalonia Road Trip June 2022

We went at the end of June, it had 'cooled' down to about 35°C. Having first visited around 1990, and numerous times since, I felt this time that the island had, after a long resistance, finally been spoiled by the tourist dollar. Antisamos beach in particular was the definition of "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot". A far cry from journeys around the island on unmade gravel roads in the early 90's. P.S. I have a Mrs H too.

All great fun, until you try to walk home for a siesta uphill from the beach after a long lunch.

We like the local Greek road maps and the goats of course. But to be honest we hire cars less often now and try to tour by bus or train, glad you enjoyed.
