I think the takeaway from this is that WE DON'T REALLY KNOW. And even now, she may not even be her true self. I'm not saying she is or isn't, but I think it's important we respect and embrace that we don't know what's going on in her (or any celebrities) life. I feel like that's what Kehlani was trying to tell us in her interview.

“Really stand offish” I would never think that about Kehlani. She literally always gives good vibes, always so positive, she’s confident in who she is and what she does. And she loves her fans so much- she doesn’t do it for the media. I’ll always respect her, she is beautiful inside and out ❤️

I relate so much towards Kehlani’s spiritual path. 2 years into my spiritual journey, I finally have fell in love with existence. I appreciate existence for what it “is”. I appreciate what the higher power has given me. I don’t care if I have no roof over my head and I live at the park! I appreciate the air, water, food, evolution, the universe...everything! I just got out of a domestic violence relationship & with that relationship I started my spiritual journey and I am appreciative of my experience because even though I could’ve allowed my circumstances to control my emotions, I didn’t because at the end of the day....I still have “an end of a day”, I am still existing. Throughout the circumstance, I appreciated the fact that there are still positive things that happen during the horrid situation. I met so many genuine people, and it just made me want to give God a hug for the balance of “well hearted people & wrong hearted people”. All I wanted to say was that I could still be sad today and create PTSD within myself, but nah! H2O in the air, tf I’m mad for?😂❤️

I can thoroughly relate to what Kehlani said about people misjudging her and thinking that she's something she's not. I've had this issue for most of my years here on this Earth. And just like Kehlani, when people finally did have a conversation with me or were within a group conversation, what they thought I was, dissipated. Guys and girls would both tell me things like, "I was afraid to approach you because I thought you wouldn't talk to me. I thought you were going to be so different than you really are. I was expecting you to be stuck up and stand-offish. Beautiful women usually aren't very nice, but you're awesome!" This would happen to me so often over the years that, for those who didn't outright tell me who or what they thought I was going to be, I would ask. And I'd still get the same types of feedback over and over again. It wasn't long before these types of reactions were just downright hurtful. I wasn't angry with anyone, but I was hurt at how so many people had me all wrong. Like, oh my gosh, if they knew my heart, they would see just how wrong they are. And just imagine, those were only the people who I actually had a chance to speak with. How many more kept to themselves or passed on by? Even now at 51, I can't help but wonder if my soulmate, thought these same things and never took a chance at introducing himself or herself? Meanwhile, it's quite possible that here I am alone, all because of someone's misjudgment.

I attempted breast reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer. From the first surgery where the expanders were put in to the final surgery when the expanders were removed, I visited my hospital 36 times in 7 months with complications, including a hospital stay for a week with a cellulitis infection. I never made it to the implants going in, my body was rejecting the expanders at every opportunity. Look up "breast implant illness," it's real.

I'm a natural 36DD and I wish mine were smaller. Most people have no idea my actual breast size because I wear sports bras and tighter bras to bind them. I'm a size 6 on the bottom, but have to buy tops and dresses in size 8-- to accommodate my breasts -- and have them taken in along the sides to fit the rest of my body. People with smaller breasts have an advantage because you can go braless when certain top/dress styles call for it, but then wear a push up bra and give yourself volume when you choose. Itty-bitties > big tingobitties

I sometimes say "Hey everyone," or "Hey Royals" (if it's a space where people say King, Queen, etc.) I am also a She/They and I love Ze (because I love Afro futurism and I want to be of future where we all are more loving and explorative) and I really resonate with so much of what she said. I don't believe I am perceived correctly either and I am trying to stay myself, accept that some people won't get it, but also advocate for myself as to who I really am. I'll admit, I didn't know how to perceive Kehlani but I liked that I didn't know because it meant there was room to learn more about her as an artist and all the things she said about how people perceive her versus how she is so similar to how I'd describe myself lol. Definitely going to buy tickets to her next show if possible, this solidified it.

I’m the same friend who inspires and encourages others to expand their palates. “No new friends” is quite limiting, and it’s up to US to change the narrative/understanding of all that being a woman “encompasses”, dropping your “She”/femininity or adding/including masculinity or ambiguity needn’t be the move nor the answer. I’ll save the rest for my own platform. Enjoyable interview!🫶🏽
