It never used to be Halloween. It was Guy Fawkes Night when we made a Guy from a broom, straw, and old clothes. Then we pushed him round in a homemade gocart, asking for 'a penny for the Guy'. I can't wait for this leadership contest to be over. Jenrick and Badenoch, understandably, are in full 'interview the candidate' mode, and it's really tedious. I can't stand Jenrick. He's coming across as a slime ball that is trying to out Farage Farage, Kemi seems at times quite reasonable but has an undercurrent of a short-temper. Either way, the Conservative Central Office won't entertain either of them in the long wrong. Kemi feels slightly more authentic. Jenrick sounds like his sole purpose is to bring down Reform UK.
