December, 1988, I get off work and go to my Friends bible study. There is this girl there, just gorgeous. We started talking and she said she recognized me as the worship leader last year for my campus ministry. I knew she could sing, seeing her in our church choir. She asked if I knew any Keith Green songs, and I replied "Pick One" Praying to the good Lord she picked on of the 4 I could play from memory. She goes "Do you know Your Love Broke Through" and under my breath I was like "Oh thank you Jesus." I have been married to that girl for 33 years.

I'm 75 and still loving the Lord. So sorry I did not know of this amazing gift of music in the person of Keith Green until now. Wish our churches would open up to share the songs Keith presented in the 1970's. What a witness of faith. These songs are timeless and so uplifting.

In 1980 I was 19 years old and graduated from high school. My religious background was Catholic, but I had an experience with Jesus as a little boy were I made a conscious decision to believe in him because his presence was so profound and real. The first time I heard Keith’s music was in 1977 at my best friend’s cousin’s house they were having a Church Youth Group called Young Life a Lutheran Ministry. I can’t remember what song was playing but it was from his first album For him who has ears to hear! I know a seed was planted in my heart that day because many years later I would remember that day after I gave my life to Christ in 1982 June 12 a Sunday morning the Pastor got up on stage and had all of us to hold hands and pray for the Keith Green Family for the tragedy that happened a few days before, but I didn’t remember the connection at this time who that was, so two years later I was living in a house renting a room in North Hollywood California that was sponsor for a Bible College Students and one of the brothers was playing music that sounded so familiar so like a dog hearing a high pitched sound I turned my head slightly to the left thinking where have I heard that before? So I went to the room he was in and asked him who is this you are listening to? Oh you haven’t heard of Keith Green before he surprisingly ask, I said yes I have heard of him before but I can’t remember when and where? So I asked him where he got that Album so I could go buy me one? Oh , he said here , he takes the cassette out of the player and throws it at me and says It’s yours! I thanked him and got in my car and was never the same person after listening to the Album which was, “I only want to see you there”. That changed my life forever then I began to sing more but I didn’t play any instruments but I could still sing occapella so I sang his songs in Bible studies and after a few months the Church Praise Band asked me to sing with them and the rest is history! Still love Keith’s music and now his teachings are great too!

It wasnt tell I was 30 or 1976 did i except the Tthe Lord sweep thru my life. Found a Baptist church except chararismatic and married to a quaker so now Im one of them

I was watching his video's this morning just realized I was at this concert in 1980!! I was only 8 or 9 years old my mom was a fan of keith & strong Christian, we drove from the Oregon city area & got to a small white old church I had no idea where we were or why we were there lol. The church was so packed it was barely standing room, people packed like sardines trying to see & hear the music. The doors were open people packed in the doorways, aisles, everywhere. Good memories.

My uncle used to live in Costa Mesa, California, right in the middle of the Calvary Chapel Jesus Movement. He would go to his church on Sunday night then go to Calvary Chapel to hear the Giants of Contemporary Christian Music. He said one night he went and the place was just packed and there was this Hippie on the stage beating a piano to death. Guess who that was.
