Mine eyes delight, my ears relish, I am enthralled as I enter into a wondrous interpretation of The Koln Concert. I DO believe my nose has sniffed the possibility of delightful evergreen trees..um. I care not that it's played by other than Keith Jarrett because I so appreciate THIS. Thank You Tomasz Trzcinski..!

W wąwozie Homole i w Pieninach, w rezerwacie Biała Woda i na Paśmie Radziejowej, Lubania, Gorca, Kudłonia, Turbacza płynęły lata mojej młodości, wędrówki, radość odkryć, poznawanie Boga, siebie i własnych możliwości. Towarzyszyła im muzyka, góralska, klasyczna i jazzowa... Serdecznie pozdrawiam! Tomasz Trzcińśki pianoexplorations.com

Though all very good no doubt, I would encourage people to get a copy of the album and hear the original concert improvisation. I was blessed to attend this Koln concert in 1971 in Royce Hall at UCLA. In many ways, it changed my life. I had a mild affinity for jazz, but in 1971 my focus was on Dylan, Tim Harden, other underground artists and of course the Beatles, and Stones. My wife said we should go see this guy, Jarrette at UCLA. We are since divorced. but bless her for this as I can still see me sitting and crying as I heard this magnificent display of creativity. Never had I seen such an abandonment of restraint. This man took over the moment to a place I'd never seen before. Keith Jarret is one amazing genius.

Thank you ! This is the music that changed my life as well. Accustomed to the templates musical forms existing in the canon of teaching my native music schools, I found listening to a recording of this concert, it was decisive for my entire future path, which from the beginning of studies have tried to follow more consistently. As the line of Robert Frost's two roads. And today I find the choice of the right, so it is much more interesting.

Yes, THE KOLN CONCERT was recorded in its entirety as early as the mid-1990s and released by Schott Music International as an authorized transcription by Keith Jarrett, with his foreword and thoughts on some performance aspects. This is such a minimal starting point for the work, which I undertook around 2002 to perform it in its entirety in concert in the fall of 2003 and recorded it in its entirety on the 2CD "Blue Mountains" for the first time in 2005. Since then I have performed the work in concerts and recorded it a dozen times. It has been a beautiful, creative adventure.

Tomasz, your rendition of Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert grows on me the more I listen to it. Really beautiful, bravo brother ❤ I have been learning / playing along with the Koln Concert myself lately. What a blessing to share that magical musical journey that he gave us in 1975. The detail with which you learned it and play it shows a lot of dedication!

Many thanks for your kind words, Ryan! All the pleasure is mine, and I'm very glad you like this interpretation so much, especially since it's a good dozen years old now. It's great that you're also passionate about this piece, it's unique music and art. As for me - in 2022 I recorded a series of my own improvisations titled. "Piano Explorations 2022" and I cordially invite you to listen to this stuff, I think it is worth starting with Vol. III "Continuum" and especially the first piece - "Exploring". It is here on You Tube in the KZbin Music version in its entirety Enjoy exploring and listening, Warm greetings Tomasz Trzcinski Piano Explorations 2022: Vol. I „Panta rhei” TomaszTrzcinski.bfan.link/panta-rhei-1 Vol. II „Chronos” classical.bfan.link/chronos-1 Vol. III „Continuum” classical.bfan.link/continuum-7

This concert is making me think about how grief and loss are such universal feelings, but yet it’s experience is utterly individual and isolating.

For me it was when I met this music an experience of infinite freedom in the creative action of a man - an artist liberated from the chains of form and sound binding elsewhere, and this has remained unchanged to this day, always awakening the feeling of encountering a free and independent spirit, liberating soul of a man tired of the monotonous rhythm of everyday body.

When I was very sad and lonely about 30 years ago, a good friend of mine gave te Köln Kenzert to me and I listened it again and again and the surprising polymorphism of the work filled my emptiness. When I found your cover today in youtube, I doubted this could be nearly as good as the original. But then I heard your first tentative cords and it seemed like coming home after a long time. Now I'm listening to your wonderful interpretation and only my writing this comment keeps me from weeping. Thank you very much for this wonderful reunion. I really admire the viridity of your playing. It it really appears to be invented just that moment. Unbelievable.

Thank you, I grew up in the mountains of new york and now live in Texas and my wife plays the piano like this through the windows of our humble ranch home to me in the field and it lifts me.

Thank you very much, I am glad that you enjoyed the recording. I also grew up in the mountains - the ones you can see on those old photos from 1991-1993, and now I miss those beautiful surroundings and that - distant period in my life - very much. These are my memories of the times of my youth, together with the music that was then an inspiration and a challenge for me, and later became a kind of road, a little-known path, which I followed out of curiosity, just as I often do in my mountains, in order to learn its purpose. And so I continue walking it, meeting interesting people on the way and getting to know unusual, beautiful places... Warm greetings to your wife! TT

It quite clearly labelled incorrectly, to mislead viewers into thinking this is Keith Jarrett. For the views and making money off someone else's name. Also it goes for 1:11:10.....11:11 much??
@pianoexplorations4 жыл бұрын
Incorrect, you say? And did you not notice that it clearly spelled Tomasz Trzciński - piano? Haven't read the entire title of this video and you are finding it incorrect? You have to be joking! Does the length of the video bother you too? You're definitely exaggerating?
