There are only a handful of things in this world that are the greatest and most excellent. This trio is one of them. Thank you Keith, Gary & Jack. 😌

No one phrases like Keith. As Miles said, "You can tell a musician by the way he plays a ballad", and Keith can play a ballad. In my opinion, Keith and and Bill Evans were ballad masters.

Mucha salud!
@jazzsocietyofecuador2 жыл бұрын

Saludos!

C'mon ECM, release this on a nice blu ray. As a life long KJ fan, let me say: 1) this is fantastic, and 2) I think I can understand why he didn't put this on an album... it is roughly from the same time period, and is roughly the same kind of experiment as "God Bless the Child" as a gospel/rock number... and for those of you who haven't heard that ("God Bless the Child", I mean) I highly recommend it... in a lifetime of KJ listening, it remains one of my favorites...

I was listening it Live in 1985 through polish national broadcast station PR2. This is one of The greatest performances of this piece I ever listened. My favorit, Jarrett was really genial interpet of this one. Love it!

I still have the whole concert recorded from the PR2 and remasterd on cd. Greetings, Tomek.

I have waited a long time for this piece to be posted, separate from the rest of the concert - thanks! If you asked me to listen to a piano or bass solo on "Georgia on My Mind", I would have said "okay". However, if you asked me to listen to a drum solo on that same tune, you might have thrown me for a loop. But if you had said the drummer would be Jack DeJohnette, I would have been highly interested. He surely doesn't disappoint here. What an amazing drummer! And what a damn fine trio... BRAVO!!!

He is just great. The way he approaches the piano is so unique. We must do a lesson on him.
