Would love to hear those cadets recall their memories of meeting Keith that day what a star 🌟 ❤

Keith really was a soft spoken man when he felt that he didn't have to live up to his reputation as a wild man. I had a teacher in junior hi, her older sister dated Daltrey on the 76 US tour. She got to meet The Who and said the thing that struck her the most was these four tough hard rockers were some of the nicest guys she ever got to meet.

Great to see another side of Keith being displayed here. A very generous and helpful thing to do, although people are always quick to seize on anything negative.
@nigelsanford71362 жыл бұрын
Exactly, never heard the ox, daltrey, or Townshend reference this, but Pete ALWAYS has negative things to say.

I really wish Keith were still alive. The greatest drummer in the world, and though he could be a bit mad at times(putting it lightly, lol!), he seemed to be a terrific person who especially loved his fans. We loved him then and love him still, and miss him terribly!

Truly incredible, mate. Thanks for this amazing footage showing the soft side of Mooney. This is a true example of how generous he was. He knew the cash would just be partied away anyways! He will never be replaced. ...RIP Moonie...

Thanks a lot for posting this unique footage showing yet another side of Keith Moon - the great thing about his style was that he made his kit sound like drumbands colliding: listen to "Cobwebs and Strange" or "The Kids Are Alright". He was also the last of the great English Court Jesters alias Shakespearean Fools, along with Peter Cook and Peter Sellers. Bit of a chat?

How lovely! What a truly nice clip. At last, something that shows what a generous and caring guy Keith was. Yes he had his problems and could be a total b*****d when he was drunk (who can't?), but he was also an extremely generous man, and this was a lovely thing for him to do. You are sorely missed Dear Boy...

Keith Moon was a Giant of the Sixties! Of course, the media treated him like a clown. He should have been embraced by the establishment as a positive influence to get kids into music. Of course they chose to hound him mercilessly!

it is strange but he has an almost haunted look in his eyes and looks quite freaked at point when being interviewed.He's usually much more 'lairy' and seemingly self assured when ive seen other interviews.especially at 2:28 ish..he kinda zones out and in again.really weird.

@badmuddafadda he wasn't even 32 here-he's jus 30-his birthday is end of aug & this says it was filmed may~june so he still had a couple months 2go before turning 31-i don't thing he looks 50, i'd say 45 but still tragic-i think thers so much more 2 the story of moon than any1 ever knew-ive seen a lot of this guy &he really puts life in2 other pples yet to do so takes it out of his own-totally selfless yet self destructive& he always avoids answering questions directly about himself in interview

I think naturally he was quite shy, like his great friend Oliver Reed. He comes across quite uncomfortable and restrained here and himself - must have been trying to dry out around this point. Some interviews I've seen him stripping off, being rowdy (in a funny way) and what have you.

@chriscritsini No, that was Martin Scorsese, the directer of Taxi Driver, who played the part of the man who was going to shoot his wife. I'm guessing you probably already knew this, and you are just goofing. He does kind of look like him though.
