Keith Richards is a true music legend who has lived the dream that every hen-pecked husband with a mortgage wanted as a teen. Amazing he is still around.
@matthewlacey53078 жыл бұрын
true that. Keith especially and the Stones generally were the cause for my early life, mid and later life 'crisis', but I wanted to rock with the Stones and hold down a day job and did so, albeit at the cost of relationships, though no cost, thankfully, to offspring. I Love the Stones and Miles and Mingus and Trane and it all is good. Fuck, I'm sure there is a book to be written on the 'collateral damage' to great bands' fans!

That''s Waddy accompanying on rhythm guitar. Don't know if Jordan's knockin' the skins, but those singers know how to hit a note, i'll say. There's a guitar trick/ riff Bobby Goldsboro (or was it John Denver?) showed Keef, so I'd definitely pay five bucks to see the show. Ex-pensive Winos at the Orpheum was one of best shows i've ever seen. Rock on !!
@markvaught95104 жыл бұрын
I saw the X-Pensive Winos on their very first tour. It was in mid-late Dec. 1988 at the Hollywood Palladium. I was 22 and my older brother had just passed the Bar Exam in California, to become a licensed attorney in California. So to celebrate, he, myself and my best friend commandeered a limo for the night and proceeded to get so fucked up we lost the limo after the show. Who does that? Lol lol Good times!! And btw, I've been to hundreds of shows over the years. Seen the best of the best. That night with Keith and the X-Pensive Winos, easily in my top 10 all time. Lol Great rock and roll and Keith led the band like a champ!!

@@charlesweeks5027 Now that's funny. As I write this I'm sitting in a run down flophouse apartment on skid row, Los Angeles with a roomful, a full house of people. Six in a room where two's a crowd. We're all getting high(meth, heroin and booze). Not even actually enjoying myself. Too hot, too crowded. Don't dig all the company neccesarily. So I got my phone out, headphones on and was looking for some decent Keith to take my mind away. Was scrolling through the comments. Saw this and started laughing. Thx. Made my evening.

I saw that too! Reminds me of Chuck Berry playing in Rome a few years ago. The man was playing with a guitar out of tune but did not realize it. He was in his eighties and was just playing shit. It was painfull to watch. Wrong notes,out of tune, etc. Too bad.

Must say, Keith is by far, NOT one of the "Best Guitarist's Who Has Ever Lived" as he has been dedicated as. He played simple rock and roll in one of the most legendary bands in history. This is his claim to fame. Stevie Ray Vaughan on the other hand, IMO is the best who ever lived. Not intending to knock Keith, just saying. Love the Stones.
@pauldennis26388 жыл бұрын
seriously though! he's got to be sick. he's lost a lot of weight from pictures only about 6 months ago. it shouldn't surprise anyone? that could be the reason why his playing is so bad? Or alcohol?
